    I remember being at that game. The crowd got so loud it literally was one massive roar. After the game, it was hard to hear normal volume sounds for a while. Amazing.

    You sort of have to feel badly for him. Local (or semi-local) kid who likely has always dreamed of playing for IU, but it is apparently not to be. Darned shame, in a way, but you can't just take them all.

    The part about "when I was in the NBA" will have a positive effect. The part about "with the Pacers" won't resonate nearly as much.

    I've never understood what was going on during those times. Had the coaching staff gotten lazy? Were they getting that many doors slammed in their faces? So many head-scratching decisions.
