  1. I would be shocked to learn that any coach doesn't report to the AD. That seems wildly innacurate and "rabbit holish"
  2. Eh I disagree with virtually all of your post. We need to stop putting MW above Dolson for starters. He doesn't have the power to overturn SD regarding his job status, regardless of who his friends are. Dolson can/will fire him by season's end. Also, you pointed out proof that the administration can get it right with the CC mention. When left to Dolson/Pam, this administration works as it should. Nobody on the basketball side has any leverage at this point to suggest that Pam/Scott shouldn't be the decision makers this time around
  3. So after having caught up on what I missed here, I've noticed you've not contributed anything of substance in regards to Woodson, or your thoughts on how this season seems to be a replay of everything we've seen out of him. You spent so much time defending him, you went radio silent, and your first post once you figured everyone forgot you was to throw shade at Dusty May lol a coach that isn't here.... Let's hear some good ole Woody defense
  4. Gotta say, the same thought came to mind last night
  5. Just think, had Rice not started shooting out of @$$ this would've been much worse
  6. So the 1st DECENT B1G team we play, and we're gonna lose by double digits
  7. As someone who enjoys a good action face, Malik needs to stop with the whiny face. Nothing screams "I'm physically weak and mentally fragile" more than the faces he makes when he doesn't like a call or non-call.
  8. Sweet Lou this couldn't have worked out better. I would expect IU fans to make that trip easily, no excuse
  9. I'm almost hoping for some drama to spice this season up at this point
  10. *checks notes again* nope, never said it was a disaster. *returns to notes with highlighter* appears the word i used was indifferent. But carry on my son, spread the cheer
  11. This team is going to get throttled in league play
  12. I'm very indifferent to their performance in general. I'm not bashing them nor am I giving them credit for their performance based on the reasons given. They beat a team that doesn't move the needle whatsoever and all they had to do was wait for them to stop shooting out of their @$$. I'm willing to admit that perhaps my expectations are a little higher than what I just saw against *checks notes* Miami..............of ohio
  13. Eh, that's a reach considering the team they were playing were only capable of winning this game from the arc. Water finally found it's level just by natural odds and you saw what happened once Miami couldn't hit the broad side of an Indiana barn
  14. I refuse to give this team ANY credit this evening
  15. This team needs B1G play right now like I need a solid kick to the pills. I smell a Pandora's box worth of problems during league play. Sweet Jesus
  16. I think this has become the "undecided but maybe perhaps leaning towards not keeping Mike Woodson" thread.
  17. Was just gonna say, putting Beard to the side, after how much cheddar they spent on the CTA buyout, I can't imagine they'll be restricted, from a financial position, to go after whoever they want. Hopefully the Woodson fiasco we've had to witness these painful years will teach some hard lessons in the AD and BoT
  18. Guess you were in a coma for the RMK years lol he didn't exactly have the greatest track record either. Point is, I'm not going to debate instances from back in the early 2000s with you. When we were winning, nobody cared about the behind the scenes issues. Same thing with a HOF coach who also coached at IU, I believe you know the one. For whatever flaws Sampson had here, he sure as hell seems to have found out how to put winning teams on the floor, and IU couldn't be further from putting consistent winners on the floor
  19. I was actually referring to the "up and comers" of right now that seem to be circulating among the fanbase. The BMs, Buckys, etc. Look, I get why some people would have a problem with Beard's baggage. However, since getting another shot he seems to be doing well to this point, to my knowledge. I'm just saying, if he were able to maintain good behavior off the court it would be hard to defend not hiring him. He's one of the few coaches who moves the needle instantly, along with Pearl. I wouldn't be opposed to McCollum at all. With all the success we've had with Woodson however, I could be in a state of constant delirium and not entirely sure about anything at this point.
  20. No, I believe the fiasco he's referring to was the tampering. The "thugs" as you so eloquently put it and the "not caring" didn't seem to matter when we were winning. It only seemed to matter when he was found to be breaking recruiting rules
  21. Yes he probably would. Unfortunately, there's a faction of the fanbase/athletic department who are unwiliing/unable to allow IU to be a redemption opportunity for virtually anybody with any legal baggage. Just have to keep banging away at those "up and comers"
  22. BINGO! It'd just be easier for said individuals to say they don't personally like those coaches and don't want them than to come up with that lame example of why they don't think they'd be available. "Sampson-like fiasco", give me a break. By the way, Sampson has routinely had dominant Houston teams and an eye popping record with that program. But hey, we're too righteous for that
  23. Yes actually, I do. You're the one making the claim. Back that s**t up
