Explain it to me. If Beard or Wade were the best coaches available, why did they "didnt' hire" them to get Pope and Kelsey?

Kentucky and Louisville both passed on him less than 12 months ago... so... that ain't nothing. When two schools with questionable history passed on guys like Beard and Wade last year, it tells me something. Neither are coming here. Period.

The issue is simple... as the season winds down for some of these teams, more coaching openings are created... and there is a finite number of quality/successful candidates to fill those slots... and competition heats up for those schools with openings... supply and demand would suggest that coaches are gonna get paid.

I haven't heard anything, but I'm sure a lot of coaches have skeletons ... the question becomes how big/bad is said skeleton? and without specifics, it's hard to say how disqualifying it might be ... I'm a bit agnostic on McDermott. With regard to the bolded part, if "better than Woodson" is the standard, we're doomed. Just open a white pages phone book and pick a guy.
