Good to know that a team can turn down a bid to the Crown tournament... there was some talk that if you were invited, you had to participate (not sure how you could enforce that, anyway)...

SMH... for > $1M, Oumar, you need to toughen up and bring it... same for the rest of the team, especially the seniors... guys like Gallo and Leal who played well down the stretch, but phoned it in today after calling out the fans last Senior Day... no sympathy... you want talk smack to the fans, your @$$ had better deliver all season long.

Well, we didn't... but clearly that was Mike Woodson's recruiting strategy... and we got what we got... no chemistry, very little leadership and zero coaching.

Question for you, Chris, AP and others with connections... how does this play out if we're out of the dance? Do we have to play in that Crown thing? How does that impact moving forward with a coach, the portal, etc? From where I sit, the timing will be tricky and critical.

I swear we are ADHD when it comes to picking a coach... every shiny bauble steals our attention away from the last shiny bauble of a coach... from Stevens/Donovan/Drew/Otz to Brownell and Turgeon? Are we really doomed?

Woodson allegedly saying the threats were the reason that he was forced to retire at this point, a month after the announcement came out, and after having said last week that he may have left "too soon" reeks of spin. If these now reported "threats" were real, they need to be investigated and the person responsible held accountable. But it all seems inconsistent and way to convenient at this point. The bottom line is that he was fired because he can't/won't do the job... and was given the courtesy by Dolson to "spin" the dismissal into a "retirement" and now he's trying to walk back the retirement never was.
