Having been an atrocious football school for over 100 years makes what Cig did almost incredulous... and having lived through the RMK glory years, I'd have given anything to have s**tcanned Woodson and gone all-in on Dusty May at the time. Now I want both, and believe that CDDV, with the proper support, will get the basketball program resurrected. But to be totally honest, I never saw what Cig has accomplished as remotely possible. I would have gone with Dusty.

At this point, there's very little difference between the NCAA's incompetence and their corruption. What happened to "you get 5 years to play 4"? When "everyone" is the exception, there are no rules.

There are two kinds of college football "stars". There are guys like Mendoza, Cooper, Sarratt, etc who played their allotted 4-5 years of eligibility (and some who leave before they've exhausted it) and want to prove themselves at the next level... and the hacks like Pavia, Chambliss et al who may not be able to make it at the pro level, so they want to keep milking the NIL cow. And the NCAA has neutered itself to the point that it can't stop the madness.

Hey, Stu, you forgot the "and incredibly humble" to the mod/admin description. Seriously, I'm lovin' this place... and appreciate all of the effort that goes into keeping the lights on and the plates spinning. It's clearly a "first world" problem, and we're incredibly lucky/blessed to have a site that works very well 99% of the time. Of course, that 99% of the time makes the 1% "struggles" more annoying. Keep on keeping on, and thanks to 41 and the staff for all you do.

Indiana announced plans Monday evening for the commission of a bronze statue of the legendary basketball coach. It will be displayed in the South lobby of the building where he led the Hoosiers to three national titles.
