What was Crean's role as an assistant at MSU under Izzo? Wasn't he a recruiter? The current FBI investigation supposedly only covers the past 3 seasons or so, but could there be a connection there? Was Crean dirtier than we expected? Maybe a matter of "learning at the master's feet"?

This could very well turn into an "IRS type" investigation... go back 3 years... if they find something, keep digging backwards in time.

No. How is it that Pitino and Izzo are scum (for doing it), but Sean is just "playing the game"? If he's doing (did) the same thing that the "scum" is doing, how can he not also be "scum"? You can't grade this on the curve. Being dirty is like being pregnant... either you are or you aren't.

I find it awesome that we grade this crap on a curve. Cheating is cheating. Calipari, Roy Williams and Pitino have been accused, but until earlier this year, all have managed to slip away clean. Pitino finally got fired, and that, deservedly... the others need to go... and then the "lesser cheaters" need to get theirs.

Curious how the Martin info may/may not tie back to FCTC. And Sean Miller is toast...

You cannot coach the uncoachable. As important as the coaching staff is, they need kids who are willing to listen, try and show some effort.

Reject away, man... but the fact is, Arch didn't recruit any of these guys. He did not have an opportunity to evaluate them as to how their character, work ethic and talent may or may not fit his desired profile and his coaching style, They were basically dumped in his lap. In even the best situation, some of these kids could, with a good bit of reach, be what he would have chosen... but clearly, this is far from said "best situation". On the plus side, none of these kids have been caught drinking under-age, smoking pot or running over teammates with cars... so I guess all is not lost.

In Archie's defense, not a single player on this team is his. Clappy recruited them all. The three freshman were also Crean's, and Archie did the honorable thing by honoring the university's commitment to them... but clearly, they are "Crean caliber" players... and even though FCTC is gone, this is still his team... Arch needs to figure out how to make these guys play basketball as a team... a bit of synergy is sorely needed, because none of these guys, save maybe Morgan, by themselves even belong on a B1G team.

After 2 years of cheatin' Kelvin and 9 years of Coach Clappy, the IU brand has already taken a beating.

Bench them all and play the guys who can hustle, show some effort and play with heart. It may be time for Normal Dale to make an appearance ("My team is on the floor", whomever that may involve).

Absolutely pathetic showing again in Madison. Imagine what could have been with just a bit of effort, energy and heart. Ashamed to be a Hoosier tonight.
