  1. Why do they have to get to this point before the appear to care/try? Disgusted...
  2. Off the rails? I'm not sure the season can even see the rails from here....
  3. The Hoosiers earned every one of them boos, too.
  4. Shooting 33% from the field, 30% from the free throw line... inexcusable and pathetic.
  5. Until IU can prove that they can hit outside shots, every defense we face will just pack the paint and frustrate the Hoosier bigs... we need a shooter badly.
  6. Pretty ugly at this point... can't hit a 3, nor can they defend a 3.
  7. Varsity Network is an iOS app (may be an Android version, too) ... streams most college BB and FB broadcasts. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-varsity-network/id1574519982
  8. thank goodness for the Varsity network... listening to Fisch now... Weber is insufferable...
  9. Bruce Weber color commentator on the game tonight... a voice that grates on me... just shoot me now.
  10. Son of a $@*, that’s gonna leave a mark! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  11. Who were the two coaches who "coaches begged to coach IU in the 2000s. They combine for 8 Final 4s & 1 National Championship since. 1 had a contract drawn up + staff assembled..."? I'd guess that one was Brad Stevens... he had stated while he was at Butler that IU was his dream job...
  12. Interesting concept... the only question for me is if they go to some sort of "revenue sharing" vs NIL, how do they structure the pay so that it's not the same X dollars for each player... paying them that way opens it all up to the cheating and paying under the table again. At least with NIL (good or bad) players pick a school based on how much (NIL$$) a school is willing to "invest" in them to play there. I understand that's now how NIL was supposed to work, but the reality of it is that is how it's done/perceived. I don't see the revenue sharing option as a fix, but as a step back to the corruption that got us here. I could be wrong. It would not be the first time.
  13. Well, I have the expectation that they make the tournament every year... so yeah, let's meet it... but there has to be higher expectations for the program. As Woody said, win the league and then win the national championship... but wishing and dreaming aint gonna get it done.
  14. I guess I'm old too, then. I remember watching the Van Arsdales, Jimmy Ray and Jon McGlocklin with my dad on a little b/w tv...
  15. Looking at this year's roster, I'd be hard pressed to call Woody a winner at a "guard chess game". One open scholly, two solid guards on the injured list, a rookie that's coming along nicely in many regards, a senior that has been missing in action so far this year (finally showed up in the Kansas game), a senior who's much better as a "team guy"/cheerleader than as a player, and a handful of walk-ons who have yet to see action... I don't see much in the way of interest/commitments for 2024 at this point, either. I find his overall recruiting frustrating. He lands a big fish or two, but misses on the entirety of a supporting cast. Not sure why it's gone that way, but it's maddening.
  16. It was definitely a disappointing loss, given the big leads through the first half and first half of the second half. Zebras screwed us a time or two, but if we're going to ever be taken seriously, even amongst ourselves, we have to stop crying about the refs. The game gets called how it gets called and the key is making adjustments to that dynamic. And if a couple of calls is the difference between a W and an L, well, we just weren't good enough today. Galloway played his heart out. Props for that. Hopefully whatever was troubling him is now behind him. Cupp's line was less that I hoped for, but he played a solid game against some tough competition ... and he's only 10 games removed from high school. Still not impressed with either Gunn or Banks. Good to see Mbako's game coming along. Ware is solid and did ok against Dickinson. Not a "moral victory" post, but there is a lot of positives to take away from this one... IU needs to find a way to close out a game with the W. Hopefully Woody can get it done. And we're still 2-0 in the B1G...
