  1. Thanks for nothing three different sports apps on my phone who didn't report this to me.   Never mind, CBS sports sent one as soon as I wrote that. As if they were watching...   Anyway, I made my case in the last thread about this. If he doesn't think he can make it to a first or second round draft pick, then an extra year won't help him too much. Mixed year for RBs. A lot of teams have needs, but I think they also discovered you only use a good pick on an elite RB. Niners have been playing guys taken from other team's practice squads for most of the year and still manage to have a decent rush offense (well, better than could be expected given all of the other flaws). RBs just aren't worth the draft capital most of the time.   Hope he proves me wrong though. Look forward to seeing him take the field one Sunday.
  2. Did he look better in practice prior to his playing in games too? I am all for playing the best QB, but it's hard to get behind a Zander start having watched him start over and over already. If he's really made some huge leaps, then that's great, but it's only been what, a couple months since he last ran our offense into the ground? A little early for me to start trusting him again even if he is looking better in practice.
  3. Secret Santa at work came through with my only Christmas gift this year. A cool IU stained glass ornament and a basketball IU ornament. The stained glass is pretty sweet.
  4. My link was the companion to USPS's so it's not straight revenue, it's "team value".   I missed where the $30 million is coming from though, I went back and looked and can't figure out that number.
  5. Over 30%? Where are you getting that?
  6. To supplement USPS's stuff: The earliest one I could find, 2009. http://www.forbes.com/2009/03/16/most-valuable-college-basketball-teams-business-sports-final-four_slide_5.html   So, saying overall the Crean years have deeply hurt the brand since even shortly after the Sampson years is pretty accurate.
  7. That was a great call and a well executed play. It's a shame things like that will inevitably get lost in the loss.   It's also somewhat fitting that today is bedsheet laundry day in our house and the reds come off and are replaced with the blues.   Oh my gosh you guys, it hasn't even been cold enough really for these sheets, but we use fleece sheets during the winter and it's amazing. The heat gets turned way down at night to make them more cozy (kid's room has a heater since she hates blankets). But, it's like sleeping inside an inside-out bear. It's so warm and fuzzy and amazing. The only downside is if you get into bed without drying your hands super well in the night and then it gets that gross wet fleece feeling. I don't know how it took me 30 years to discover these were a thing.
  8. I think nearly every player on the field can point to a play where they messed up and it really hurt us. You just can't win games like that. You need positive consistency and you need some guys to be clutch or the whole team falls apart through a thousand cuts.   We lost this game over and over, whether it was through dropped passes, missed tackles, no safeties, interceptions, or blown kicks. We made pretty much every mistake you can make in football.
  9. Man, the only thing dumber Albers could say was "I think Jay is pretty cool"
  10. You know those people who keep saying goodbye until someone replies?
  11. It was everyone. The whole game was an attempt to see how poorly a team can play and still be competitive. Everyone dropped the ball. Suds couldn't handle it. The WRs couldn't handle it. Oakes couldn't handle it. No one ever figured out how to tackle someone who is running.
  12. I guess the question is, why would an Indiana Football fan ever expect anything else?
  13. Do our wide receivers not have hands? Is it like, some kind of charity project?
  14. It was at 7 points right. Oh yeah, the extra extra points. He broke it with that kick.   Oh my gosh, I hate us.
  15. Oakes! Tie that record! Make my Oakes jersey look like a good investment!
  16. Seeing Latham out there just reminds me how ridiculous he would look on the court.
  17. "Oh do we have the lead? Let's just get rid of that in the next 30 seconds, it's making us uncomfortable"
  18. If you're going to return the ball then you have to hold it. That's all you have to do.
