  1. Cmon guys, it was herpes. And his chlamydia was cured by then!
  2. These are hideous lol. Sunday gonna be a funeral in assembly hall?
  3. This is why I’m rooting for the tank. I’m talking losing out. I don’t care if people think that makes me a ‘bad fan.’ Whatever. Another year of Mike Woodson is far worse for IU basketball than me rooting for the tank is. I have no impact on the team. Mike Woodson has full impact on IU basketball, and his impact stinks We need the heat on full blast.
  4. Only if they change it to before the game. With a 4:30 tipoff Woodson will be overdue for a nap by the time the game ends.
  5. Fans have little influence. The administration can foolishly bring Woodson back for another season but that doesn’t mean we have to shut up and be happy about it. And if fan outrage does put a little heat on the IU administration? Good.
  6. I just don’t think it’s something the AD should consider when making a hire. Go out and hire the best coach that you can. Maybe that’s Dusty May, maybe it’s not. But hiring a guy because it helps you save face for your prior bad hire is a good way to make the wrong hire once again.
  7. A Bruce Pearl hire would sell itself. The AD could try to sell the ‘bridge’ story with Dusty May but no one would believe it. It would be obvious that IU fired Woodson because he wasn’t getting the job done.
  8. Can we get some more info on this Bruce Pearl thing please and thank you.
  9. Targeting Pearl sounds too good to be true but WOW that would be incredible.
  10. That’s what the IU swamp wants. We gotta keep it pushing.
  11. Not a fan of the pace in here boys. Thread is slowing down like Woodson in the mid afternoon. Need to pick it up if we want to hit our goals.
  12. Switch whiskey to wine and you’ve got your answers here.
  13. You can’t let the bridge coach burn down his bridge. That’s exactly what IU would be risking by giving Woodson a fourth season. IU basketball is in a better place now than it was in March 2021. Good! Time to find the next guy. Bringing Woodson back risks way too much and provides little upside.
  14. Agree 100%. I don’t care how the rest of the season plays out. Just get rid of him.
  15. Imo, based on the reports of his energy levels, he wouldn’t coach much longer than his current contract anyway. So, he’d be getting the same money he’d be getting anyway without having to do any work. Really a pretty good deal for him.
  16. You don’t need precedent. You just need the buyout money. Going to back to back tournaments is only talked about as a positive because Archie was so bad. Woodson being slightly better than possibly the worst coach in IU history doesn’t mean he deserves to keep his job. And Archie only missed the tournament in 2020 because it was canceled by a once in a century pandemic. Archie didn’t cause covid. IU was going to be in the field. The tournament drought would have been one year when Woodson took over but for covid. Woodson’s first year he goes 21-14 and loses by 29 points in the round of 64. His second year he goes 23-12 and loses by 16 in the round of 32. His third year he almost certainly will miss the tournament altogether. Numerous blowout losses. He has one recruit in the 2024 class. Gaping holes in the roster. We know for a fact that Woodson isn’t the answer long term because he’s too old. He has failed to show that he’s the short-term answer. So, fire him. He hasn’t lived up to what should be the expectation for IU basketball.
  17. Sounds like a reason to fire Mike Woodson.
  18. Personally I think a one person board would be for the best, especially if that spot is filled by Quinn Buckner.
  19. Since we’re Indiana and making the tournament gets you a million dollar raise, Holtmann never would’ve been fired at IU. NCAA tournament every year until last season. One bad season last year, and then another this year. Can’t fire a coach with those results!
  20. Ah screw it, if Dusty May is the only way to avoid more Mike Woodson then consider me a fan of the dustmeister.
  21. …. Yes. College at IU was a good time. Being a fan of IU is, largely, pretty miserable. I became a fan in middle school because my grandpa was a huge fan. My iubb experience has been Kelvin Sampson, Tom Crean, Archie Miller, and Mike Woodson. Pretty brutal. There’s little reason for kids today to become IU fans absent familial reasons. Hate to say it, but being a Purdue fan would be a much more enjoyable experience for them.
  22. Does anyone think that Woodson coaches until the time he’s 70? Because I see a guy who barely has the energy to do the job now at 65, almost 66. He’s putting in horrible effort on the recruiting end of things. He’s not going to suddenly put in more effort as he gets even older. So, why would we bring him back for another year? At most he’s got what, 2-3 more seasons in him? Giving him the chance to get us “back on track” also gives him the chance to screw things up even more. I see little benefit to giving that chance to a coach who will be on his way out in a few years anyway. I don’t think Dusty May is the guy, but if you’re the AD and you do, you have to fire Woodson now before OSU scoops him up.
  23. I forgot about that. Definitely speaks to his ego. Twice fired nba head coach who had been out of coaching entirely for two of the three previous years acting like that, lol. Confidence is fine, and you need a lot of it to succeed in this job. But when you don’t succeed you just look like an egomaniac.
  24. You’re probably right, but wow that would be very underwhelming.
  25. Nothing about him suggests that he, at 66 years old, will suddenly have an entire personality switch and be open to change. Yet that’s being pushed as a reason to keep him lol. Those posters may hope he changes, but there’s no reason to believe that he will.
