I’m good either way with any of them winning as long as it’s a close game. If you are one the takes pride in the B1G then you would want them to win since it’s been 25+ years and the national media would love for that trend to continue (Adam Zagoria being the worse). You would think that the B1G has been trash in the tourney if you listen to them but numbers tell you they have been right there just haven’t won the Big one. For @Hovadiposake I hope Illinois doesn’t win though

Kenpom keeps stats going during the tourney so a teams number can improve throughout the tourney. Would need to see where both those teams kenpom numbers were on selection Sunday. On the true seed list they were 2 apart. 8-Purdue, 9-Sparty and 10-Illinois

It happens more than people think. Head to head is just 1 part of comparing resumes. Where a team finishes in conference isn’t part of a team sheet.

They beat Nebraska twice even though they finished behind them in the standings. I get people being upset with their seed while they finished below certain teams in conference but their overall resume was better when the team sheets were compared.

They preach every game matters. History showed they haven’t valued the late games in conference tourneys but they preach they do. In this instance they valued every game. I changed my seed for them from a 3 to 2 after they won the BTT. Just felt beating Michigan on a neutral court alone was worth the bump. They did lose 7 however most of those were to high ended tourney teams. I would of been fine with a 3 seed however if you are taking the overall body of work approach then their resume was 2 seed worthy in my opinion

They definitely earned a 2 seed. Whole season matters and they smashed Texas Tech on a neutral court and won at Bama in the non con. Won at Iowa, Wisky and Nebraska in conference. Then won 3 games in the conference tourney over ucla, Nebraska and Michigan. They earned their seed

I’m sure overpaying for Thompson might have something to do with them losing some players as well

Heck of a turnaround for McCollum at the end of the season. Lost 7 of 10 and was 0-6 vs Ken Pom top 40 away from home. Got into the tourney and proceeded to win 3 straight against the top 40 before running into Illinois. Looking forward to see what he does in year 2. Stirtz has been a joy to watch. Heck of a college career

Not sure there are may Stirtz level players in the portal. Kid is a stone cold killer. Been a joy to watch the last 2 years of college. Makes me wish I watched D2 back when he was playing there

McCollum running excellent offensive sets in this game. Give it to Stirtz with the clock running low and let him make a play
