Bracketology and Team Resumes
Uspshoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Never too early to talk bracketology. You can’t make the tourney this early in the season with your on court results but you can sure help your case by taking care of business. IU has won their first 3 games by 23 points or more with one of those teams being a power 5 team that will be competing for a tourney spot. Never a bad thing to start out your journey for a bid with a little cushion instead of playing catch up. IU is no longer bringing a knife to a gun fight with the metrics part of the equation. Glad this staff plays the game. This doesn’t guarantee anything but from my point of view following the metrics this is a breath of fresh air seeing IU enter the chat in playing the metrics game. Keep taking care of business and IUs first NET number should be a good one to start from -

I’m not a fan right now either. Not at full capacity in the college basketball room and missing out some games I shouldn’t be missing. Figure it out YouTube/Disney. North Texas wins it at the buzzer

Virginia Tech/Providence was one of those game yesterday that wasn’t expected to a banger of a game but turned into game of the day. Back and forth with Tech winning in OT. Tech has a freshman 6’9 guard that will be a lottery pick

Went to the Maryland 247 premium board after their loss and they are going through one regarding buzz. I’m over Buzz thread and it’s already 5 pages. Someone needs to the DMV poster that was trolling here about Turgeon and tell him Turgeon is available to take back over for Buzz.

If a top 10 game like St John’s/Bama happens and I don’t post about it in the college basketball thread in realtime then did it even happen? that game was awesome

Illinois St/Ohio probably game of the night. TCU/St Francis on TNT at 8. Still can’t watch Sec + and Acc extra so don’t get to watch Malik play for Miami.

Holding out for now. Watched the Duke/Texas on regular YouTube. Not the best quality but it will do. Will do the 5 day free trial games for the weekend and hope it’s resolved. If not I will get the espn unlimited until YouTubeTv and Disney figure it out. Crappy part is through Verizon I have the Disney, Hulu and espn + bundle however it’s a legacy so it doesn’t include espn, espn2, espn u or espnews I need a tv provider for them however I can watch any espn + game my first year without cable in 25 years. I might of paid a buttload of money for cable but I never had to deal with this. lol

Still leading the B1G in attendance the last couple years and top 6 nationally despite being a middle of the pack B1G team on the court and no tournament success shows me IU is still a basketball school. Either way, call it a football school or basketball school but the outside perception will be IU is a basketball school. During their football games, announcers go out of their way to bring up the basketball history. For me IU will always be a basketball school first (shocker I know)

Bilas shouting out IUs DeVries as one of the best hires of the cycle along with Sean Miller and Will Wade. Nice optics for the program
