Corruption in College Basketball
rebelhoosier848891 replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Wouldn’t it be justice if IU was not involved and the investigation results came out early and several schools were barred from participating in THIS YEARS NCAA tournament. And —To get to 64 teams they invite IU into this year’s field! OK—let me dream a little !!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Guard play let us down tonight. Especially Devonte and Newkirk were largely ineffective and bothered by Nebraska’s length Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Having fun watching Archie on the sidelines tonight! He responds like I do at our bonehead plays. A lot different than Crean’s constant clapping. I liked Crean but I am now in Camp Archie 100 percent now! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

So let me get this right—Romeo—an Indiana legend is going to pick Vandy— a baseball school with virtually no basketball history. Oh—in fairness they have won 3 —yes just 3 —regular season basketball conference championships in their history and there was that one year—I kid you not —one time— in their history where they made it to the elite 8 in the NCAA tourney. Heck Archie took Dayton to the elite 8! As far as history—no comparison whatsoever to IU or Kansas where basketball is king —multiple conference and NCAA championships and you play in front of packed and loud crowds instead of a half empty arena with country music being piped in for the fans. In fairness I give Vandy an educational edge but that is moot since Romeo only plans to be there for a year and he was originally favoring Louisville—enough said. Location seems at least even between IU and Vandy—Kansas further away. He is supposedly an Adidas kid who played on the Adidas AAU Circuit and IU and Kansas are Adidas schools while Vandy is Nike. Coaching—have to give the edge to Kansas here as far as proven accomplishments—but Archie is as good or better (better imo) than Drew. Players—Kansas has the advantage here. IU and Vandy would be similar in talent but Romeo has to know there is a steep learning curve for freshmen when they jump into college ball. Does he really think Shittu will be fully recovered? Even if he is —will he be better than a veteran Juwan Morgan? No way. Romeo-Juwan would be a potent 1-2 punch and Phinisee and a seasoned Devonté Green will be above average at the point and more than willing to let Romeo score. Davis and and Smith inside will be big and tough and lots of 3 and 4 Star help is on the way and you can count on one of them to surprise. If McRob and Al get a consistent jump shot —watch out. I just can’t think a friendship with Darius will be the deciding factor to pull him away from the home state school—IU—where he could be a legend. He knows it—his high school coaches know it —and his parents know it. When you look at all the factors—if he picks Kansas I won’t like it but I will understand. If he picks Vandy—I will always believe something el$e is motivating the pick because it makes no sense. Sorry—I call it like I see it. Come on Romeo—follow in Damon’s footsteps—complete your legacy—remain a Hoosier in the State that helped make you who you are. I am confident he should and will pick the Hoosiers! NCAA for me any day—but I agree we’ll take a deep run in the NIT. Would love to play longer than Purdue —their fans were so loud and arrogant when they were number one in the Big—not so much anymore! Stay humble Little Brother! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Illinois upsets Nebraska 72-66 —if we win out and Nebraska loses out—we could end with same record as them. Hmmmm. They will be pumped for us Tuesday but we have a shot! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
