Drilling down---Newbill for PSU continues to shine---he's looking all Big Ten to me.   Newbill---23 pts---4 reb----3 asst---2 stls.   PSU's Taylor was also solid---16 pts---6 rebs.   For Rutgers---Kadeem Jack with 19 pts and 3 reb.   I am happy for the Lions---they play hard---good to see them get their first conference win.

Final---PSU 79---Rutgers 51.   PSU goes to 13-7 overall and 1-6 in the Big Ten.   Rutgers falls to 10-11 and 2-6 in the Big Ten.   Rutgers starting to look like who we thought they were---still can't believe they beat Wiscy!  :no:

#17 Texas and #11 KU playing ----should be a good game.   Last I checked Texas was up 13-8 early.   I don't like either of them----but I will be glad to root against Kansas.   Hook'em Horns!

Drilling down---the twin towers were solid for Purdue---Haas with 10 pts--4 rebs and Hammonds with 13 pts and 3 rebs.   However------Purdue's stars today were Davis with 24 pts and Smotherman with 13pts and 6 rebs.   For Iowa---no one really showed up---except Gessell with 18 pts and Olaseni with 9 pts and 16 rebs.   We will have to bring it in West Laffy to get the W---but I still think we will get it done!   Go IU!

Iowa starting to do their usual mid to late season FADE.   I'll bet the Hawkeye fans are getting tired of the same old song and dance.

After losing to Purdue---Iowa now has three losses----starting to see separation at the top of the standings.   I hope we can keep winning to keep pace with Wiscy and Maryland.

Last I checked----Penn State was throttling Rutgers---60--35 with about 11 minutes to go.   Looks like PSU is finally going to get their FIRST Big Ten win----after going unbeaten in the preconference season.   Can you say -----strength of schedule???? 

Last I checked---Purdue still holding a lead against Iowa 43--36 with about 14 minutes to go.   I thought Iowa would bounce back better from that Wiscy beat down----they are about to get their 3rd Big Ten loss.   They are at Mackey.

FINAL: #16 VCU slips by St. Louis---63--61.   VCU has quietly moved to 16-3 and 6-0 in the A-10.   I 've only caught a few clips---but I think they are ranked too high this year too.   But---due to being in the weak A-10--- they won't have many more losses heading into the tourney.
