    Drilling down----Purdue/PSU   PSU is basically Newbill----he had 37 points and 3 rebounds and 4 assists and 1 steal.   Hammonds led Purdue---21 points and 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.   It's working---but I still can't understand why Purdue starts Haas over Hammonds----not nearly the player---maybe it is to save Hammonds from early foul trouble or he plays better off the bench.

    I have watched them twice----my impressions are they are not as athletic and fast as we are but they do play together as a team better and are stronger inside.   One point of disagreement---I think we have more potential-- but right now I would give them the nod head to head. Hopefully that changes by the end of the year.

    Drilling down----D. Russell for OSU was amazing today----27 points--14 rebounds---2 assists---1 steal.   That's a stat line!   JBJ better get with it if he wants to win FOY in the Big Ten!   Aaron White of Iowa----with 22 points---6 rebounds---and 3 steals.

    Iowa 76-67 over OSU.   Everybody thought preseason--- O$U was the second best team in the Big Ten-----they are now 3-3 in conference.

    #12 Notre Dame with the comeback win----75-70 over Miami.   If we don't get with it---Notre Dame will go down as the best team in Indiana this year.

    Remy Abell has been Xavier's most consistent player lately.   I always liked him at IU---he made key plays for us several times in his short career at IU.   I continue to hope he does well.

    Iowa still up by 10 points with about 6 minutes to go.   Still a lot of time.

    With all the recent SMU trouble---investigations---you have to wonder if Shake Milton is reweighing his options.  If SMU gets rocked he can ask for a release and may look at his other two finalists again---- Oklahoma and IU.   I don't know if we have room---might depend on if we lose a guard or 2 to the pros or otherwise.   Worth watching.

    Final was 84-77 Purdue over PSU in OT.   Iowa is up on Ohio State by 15 with about 12 minutes to go---so there is that!
