UofL fans used to humorously chant “beat Purdue” during their home games because of a past cheerleader error. The story goes back to a home game against whoever, not Purdue though. The cheerleaders would hold signs that would direct the fans to chant “Beat” “Tulane”. The cheerleader inadvertently held up beat Purdue.
