In AAU action today, Nickel's Team Loaded defeated Julian Phillips' Upward Stars 51-50. Nickel led Loaded with 16; Phillips with 14 for Upward. 6’5 2022 Tyler Nickel (TeamLoadedBBall) has been absolutely everywhere for them today. Chase down blocks, deep 3s, and running the floor in transition. Produces every time he laces them up.

Indiana: “Indiana, regardless of off year or not, basketball is like God there. They have a basketball rich history and they way they play is up and down. Their new staff contacted me shortly after they were hired and have been in consistent contact since.” “I am probably going to commit on September 5, my birthday. Goalkeeper from Club SLSG in Missouri. Nate Gabris @nategabris Super excited and humbled to announce that I’ll be continuing my academic and athletic career at Indiana University! Big thanks to all the coaches, teammates, family, and friends who have helped me reach this point! http://spkc.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=3936620&player=278803993 -
Washington is really drawing attention to his game this weekend at the Grassroots Showcase in Louisville. From Justin Young at HoopSeen.com - Upon first glance at the Mean Streets EYBL team, big man Jalen Washington made it pretty clear that he was in Louisville with a purpose in mind - to eat up the competition. Washington was a paint warrior and his efficiency was outstanding once he set his feet and went to work around the rim. The big man was outstanding from tip to finish. When you’re consisted a top 25 player in the country, the expectation to deliver and produce comes with every game you suit up for. For Washington, he delivered in a win here on opening night.

Jamie Shaw of Rivals at the Pittsburgh Jam Fest - Class of 2022 four-star prospect Rodney Rice came out scorching the nets in the opening round of the Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest. His Team Durant EYBL team defeated Team Rio UAA in running clock fashion behind a dazzling 20-point, five three-pointer effort from Rice. After the game the Hyattsville (Md.) Dematha guard and I talked about his recruitment and he said he wants to visit Louisville, Maryland, Indiana and Virginia Tech once the NCAA opens up in-person recruiting. Rice says he would like to commit prior to his senior season.

Eric Bossi - FIVE-STAR CHRIS LIVINGSTON PLAYS LIKE A GROWN MAN Way back in the spring of 2018 I was wandering around Lakepoint looking for a game to watch. I settled on a 16U game where an athletic wing was going off. When I checked his stats at halftime, I wasn’t surprised to find out that he had 20, but I was surprised to find out that Chris Livingston was only an 8th grader. Now a junior, Livingston is back with a very talented and fun to watch We All Can Go team and one the top 10 players in the class of 2022 and he showed exactly why he’s a dude. This reference is going to take some people back in time and I hate to date myself, but back in the late 90’s I watched DeShawn Stevenson play for the first time, and I can’t help but see some of him in Livingston’s game. Strong, tough and a real threat to catch deep and bomb a jumper, Livingston doesn’t have any fluff in his game. He is going to attack the rim aggressively, bounce through contact and be as explosive as he needs to be. He’s workmanlike and showtime all at once. The Akron product scored his most recent offers from Georgetown and Memphis during the winter and can play anywhere in the country.

Oklahoma transfer De’Vion Harmon has committed to Oregon. Will continue the NBA Draft process but if he returns to the NCAA it will be in Eugene. -
Livingston in Cartersville, GA this weekend for an Exposure Sports Breakout event playing on the W.A.C.G. All Stars (Adidas). These comments from earlier today. ‘22 Chris Livingston has imposed his will in this one. Scoring it in a variety of ways. Aggressive on the glass. 2022 Chris Livingston of Buchtel HS (OH) was getting after it for WACG in their game 1 win. So far 1 of the most impressive prospects I’ve seen this summer, has an all-around game that translates to multiple systems. High motor & great teammate, top 20 prospect

(2022) PG Braden Smith to Purdue
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Smith apparently still on the IU radar. Since Mike Woodson was hired, Smith has continued to hear from IU on a regular basis, and more than was the case under Miller. But still, the Hoosiers and other high major programs have yet to offer the 6-foot point guard. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/point-guard-braden-smith-hearing-from-iu-and-other-high-majors-as-he-begins-big-spring-and-summer/ -
More than just Clarke involved but haven't seen any reports on the condition of the occupant(s) in the other car so the tragedy may be even worse. LAPD says Clarke was traveling at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light, hit another car turning left, and continued on to then hit a pole and block wall. Police say Clarke was not wearing his seatbelt properly.

No, he received an IU offer last Friday and as an FYI the link to the Rabjohns story is behind a paywall so inaccessible to most of us. -
