  1. Interesting to see what the IHSAA will decide to do in Indiana. The National Federation of State High School Associations will permit implementation of a 35-second shot clock leaving the decision to implement or not to each state association. https://www.nfhs.org/articles/shot-clock-allowed-by-state-adoption-for-high-school-basketball-in-2022-23/?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=NFHS_Org&fbclid=IwAR3v_D6Cpli1yyuw6yg2-KZNRuHT9GuY9pYVrbB74ZwDeKuoebzXTVeQEM4
  2. Indiana women's basketball head coach Teri Moren has been named a court coach for the upcoming USA Basketball Women's U19 World Cup Team Trials. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2021/5/12/womens-basketball-teri-moren-named-court-coach-for-2021-usa-womens-u19-world-cup-team-trials.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1W1LlNq2fJpJVU6zCKrZ75rX0YeQ5cIQhh7zF6shR6kqlnTyJKAJczv1U
  3. Indiana Women's Basketball - Congrats to our guy, associate head coach @RhetWierzba, who will participate in the @TopConnectLead! He's one of 13 coaches (men's or women's) and 13 college administrators selected nationwide for the prestigious leadership institute.

  5. Alec Lasley on Johnson - https://indiana.rivals.com/news/xavier-johnson-comes-to-indiana-looking-to-make-immediate-impact
  6. Knight: Can't argue with Stu's pick of Buckner but Isiah didn't become referred to as the baby faced assassin for nothing. Davis: Whole era was underwhelming. Sampson: I boycotted this era in its entirety. Crean: Troy hands down but had Crean not been fired, Devonte would have ended up a close second. Miller: Although he only stayed 2 years, I'll go with Damezi because he came with lots of hype but never produced results. And I'd also include Jerome Hunter at this point in time for the same reason the results haven't nearly matched the hype.
  7. Lander’s father Keith told The Daily Hoosier last month that a set oriented offense under Miller that involved the point guard dribbling at the top of the key while the play unfolded felt foreign to his son. When the family sat down with Mike Woodson and watched film on how the new head coach wants his point guards to play, there was a collective epiphany. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-mike-woodson-believes-khristian-lander-has-solid-foundation-to-build-from/?fbclid=IwAR26lsb923EQVDas4NHkAL6AMfhXat6lKZ-iauJXco8MPxiM4IS-hSQsCv8
  8. Travis Branham on Karaban from this past weekend's KC Classic - Northeast power forward Alex Karaban showcases his skillset and feel. The northeast, like the west, has gone largely unseen the past year due to the pandemic shutdowns but Alex Karaban came out this weekend and displayed why high majors are in pursuit. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound forward out of New Hampton (N.H.) School is skilled, tough and has a good feel and IQ for the game. He has a face-up game to him, can make shots out to three, finishes through contact and is a good passer for the position. Karaban is an impactful glue-guy for the Expressions program and is currently ranked as the No. 126 overall prospect in the 2022 class.
  9. SCHEDULE UPDATE No. 21 #IUBase will host Illinois on Tuesday, May 18 at 3:00 PM ET at Bart Kaufman Field in Bloomington. The game is a make-up of the contest that was postponed on April 11.
  10. And that's exactly why I didn't post a height for him in the opening line of my post! lol We'll go with an average and think of him as 6'3".
  11. New name on the IU radar -- 4-star PG Jayden Lemond who will attend Blair Academy in NJ. https://stockrisers.com/s/346/top-30-sophomore-jayden-lemond-updates-his-recruitment 247 Rivals Hudl From Eric Bossi last month -- One of the most intriguing 2023 players in the event, the 6-foot-2 floor general for PSA Cardinals 16U team showed why he’s already ranked in the top 50 nationally. If you want wiggle and the ability to change directions in tight spots then this is your guy. Lemond has good size, some real burst and is a creative passer and scorer. If anything, he could be a little more aggressive. Auburn, Connecticut, Providence, Seton Hall, St. John’s, TCU and Wichita State are among those who have already offered. From Dushawn London last January: https://247sports.com/college/seton-hall/Article/Basketball-recruitingCreighton-TCU-Georgia-PSA-Cardinals-Blair-Academy-Jayden-Lemond-159329234/
  12. A. J. Guyton - They are asleep on my baby girl! Wait, they slept on me too! 2024 HG Aaliyah Guyton lead her team to a 4-0 record and 1st place at the AAU state championship in Rockford, IL. Aaliyah shows handle with either hand, quickness, burst and the ability to score at all 3 levels.
  13. Dan Gibbs of NY2LASports.com - Trimble is an exceptionally skilled point guard that is at his best off the dribble attacking. He is an explosive athlete that was scoring it from all three levels but can also distribute the ball well with great instincts. The junior finishes at a high level at the basket and hits jumpers from all over. Trimble has all the tools to get it done on the next level. Midwest Hoops Spotlight - At the half of the 17U title game (WI Spring Showcase) Phenom Universe leads it 41-27 over JH1. Seth Trimble has been scoring at will attacking. Seth Trimble has turned it up a level for this title game & has taken it over. All game he has been unstoppable attacking off the dribble. Great moves & handle, changes direction so well, & finishes so well around the basket. The 17U title game is won 71-59 by @PhenomUniverse over JH1 behind a dominating performance from ‘22 PG Seth Trimble.
  14. Paul Biancardi @PaulBiancardi - Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville & Indiana all pursuing 2023 Reed Sheppard. Excellent shooting mechanics and touch from all levels. Vision and accuracy to deliver the pass with an open teammate mentality. Fundamentally sound with his footwork as well.
  15. Alec Lasley with background and a couple of short game clips. https://indiana.rivals.com/news/2022-introduction-vincent-iwuchukwu
  16. Comments on Hood-Schifino's performance yesterday in the KC Classic from Travis Branham - It has been a standout weekend for Team CP3's Jalen Hood Schifino. His skillset, feel, IQ and versatility as a guard have shined this weekend. Schifino possesses very good size and physical tools for the position and his frame has filled out well as he has continued to mature since our last viewings of him. He impacts the game both on and off the ball given his innate ability to function both as a scorer and facilitator. As a scorer, Schifino connected on several mid-range pull-ups and as a facilitator he was most impactful in the pick-and-roll. Since de-committing from Pittsburgh, he has received offers from Kansas, Tennessee, Arizona, Arizona State, Indiana and Seton Hall.
  17. Comments on Taylor's Saturday performance in the KC Classic from Travis Branham - Team Takeover's Justin Taylor is a very skilled, consistent and solid wing prospect that will provide a reliable piece for whatever future program lands him. He stands 6-foot-6, 200-pound with long arms and a strong frame and will be more than capable of holding his own physically at the collegiate level given his size, length and strength. Offensively, he is skilled and smart and his biggest strength relies in his ability to make shots from three and he has shown just that this weekend in Kansas City. He's connected on jumpers both off the catch and pull and is also capable of attacking closeouts to score off the bounce. Taylor possesses a high floor as a prospect and his game will translate to the next level of basketball. He is currently the No. 58 overall prospect and holds offers from Butler, Florida, Georgetown, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolin, Syracuse and Virginia amongst others.
  18. A little background on PG Gabe Cupps - https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-ohio-point-guard-gabe-cupps/
  19. Discuss your conversation with Mike Woodson and your overall thoughts on Indiana? “He talked about me being an impact player from the start and also bringing the NBA style with him and using me as a positionless player, and helping me develop my body right away to adjust to the Big Ten.” https://stockrisers.com/s/345/four-star-junior-tyrell-ward-locks-in-official-visits-talks-recruitment
  20. Eric Bossi on last night's games - During the first half and through the early part of the second half, it was Ausar Thompson who was the star of the show. A truly freaky athlete, Thompson frustrated Livingston when matched up with him as a defender. Livingston is currently ranked No. 6 by 247Sports and the 6-foot-6 wing showed why North Carolina offered earlier this week. It took him some time to get going, but once the beastly scorer got going, he was impossible to stop as he scored 19 of his game high 30 in the second half. He bombed from deep, bounced through contact at the rim and played some serious grown man basketball.

  22. Samad Hines - 2022 F Chris Livingston showed up tonight as well in Kansas City despite the 74-72 loss. 30 points (12-17 FG 2-5 from 3) and 2 blocks. Made some big plays down the stretch, scores in a variety of ways, and has the elite size at 6-foot-7+. Impressive performance
  23. 2022 SG Justin Taylor drops 30 points to lead Team Takeover past Kyle Lowry Elite.
