  5. 4- star PG Jeremy Fears attends La Lumiere HS and plays AAU for Bradley Beal Elite on the Nike circuit. 247 Rivals From April 30: Jeremy Fears is currently a 4-star recruit and ranked No. 23 nationally by 247Sports. That service lists him as the No. 7 point guard in the class. Even though he's a '23, he's playing 'up' with the Bradley Beal AAU team on the EYBL circuit so hopefully when the EYBL circuit starts we'll be able to get some good stats on him. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-point-guard-jeremy-fears/?fbclid=IwAR3Gj35fLmDmEG52S0zWeNhWqAl6PDWMZ6WHJxahGh8LSXRoYTLfy6WSw8A
  6. All the stats for the Pangos camp have now been posted except for Jalen Hooks' last scheduled game of the camp. Although he was selected for the Top 60 game, his name does not appear in the box score and it may be because he had to get back to the midwest as I think he had a Marquette visit lined up. Neither Avery Brown nor Julian Phillips were selected for either the Top 30 or Top 60 games and Phillips' name does not appear in the box score for his last scheduled game. Pts. 13. Eric Bossi after the conclusion of the Pangos camp. One of the players that I wanted to focus in on was top 20 ranked Zion Cruz. Fresh off of a visit to Auburn that he raved about; the product of New Jersey was among a group of players that I hadn’t yet seen play all that great during the spring. However, recent reports had been that Cruz was really turning things up and I wanted to see how he handled Pangos. After three days, it was a great showing for Cruz. I thought he bounced back well with effort and his ability to score in bunches. He made enough deep jumpers to keep defenders honest. He was an athletic and creative finisher at the rim and I felt that he played with great energy and did a good job of being vocal. Even in drill sessions, Cruz was locked in. He could have maybe been a little more unselfish with the ball, but given the setting of an All-Star camp, sometimes there’s a little bit of an if you give the ball up you won’t get it back mindset, so I’m not too terribly concerned there. Bottom line, Cruz performed like a top 20 ranked guy. Oregon is up next for an official visit.
  14. Cut his list to 11 and we're not on it. This one has always been a bit of a mystery so not a major surprise. https://www.zagsblog.com/2021/06/09/top-10-junior-chris-livingston-cuts-list-to-11/

  16. The Pangos All-American Camp ended yesterday. Players played a final game on their assigned teams; however, I've yet to see any box score information for that game so I'm giving you what I have for 3 games. Following their final scheduled game, a Top 30 were selected and split into 2 teams for a final game. Included in this group of 30 were Alex Karaban and Zion Cruz. A second group captioned Top 60 was also selected and split into 2 teams for a final game but clearly minutes were going to be minimal for each player. This group included Justice Williams, Xavier Booker, Jalen Hooks and Vincent Iwuchukwu. From the rosters I saw, neither Avery Brown nor Julian Phillips were selected for either group. Pts. 17. Lawrent Rice a 6' 3" combo guard attends Wayne HS in Huber Heights, OH. Plays AAU on the All-Ohio-Red 16U on the Nike circuit. He's really been under the radar as the the background story on him from TheDailyHoosier indicates we've been in contact with him since last summer and has this teaser: Rice has mentioned Indiana in his recruitment regularly for nearly a year, and he named IU as a school he would like to visit this summer as recently as a couple weeks ago. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-ohio-point-guard-lawrent-rice/?fbclid=IwAR2PA54q3Qaq6SCAz7ofqudDivVVgpHa6sL1k5TXwV0HrWgh80-akdytGeI 247 Rivals Hudl

  21. Eric Bossi on what he's seen at the Pangos camp. Frankly, seven-footer Vince Iwuchukwu hadn’t played all that well in some recent viewings. Currently ranked No. 41 overall by 247Sports, he has the size, body and athleticism to be ranked as a five-star prospect. On Sunday in a matchup with another seven-footer who could be a five-star, Dereck Lively II, Iwuchukwu didn’t just look like a five-star, he played like one. He was running the floor with purpose, posting strong, hit some jumper and was very active on the glass while racking up 26 points and 10 rebounds. If this is the Iwuchukwu that we can expect to see moving forward then he’s got a real chance to move up the list of pivot players. Arizona StaAte, Florida State, Kansas, Indiana, Purdue and Texas are among those giving chase while Baylor appears to be in a pretty good spot. From the class of 2023, 6-foot-9 Xavier Booker continues to impress. He’ll definitely be a factor in the next edition of the rankings for his class and will likely enter as a four-star prospect. He’s skinny but can really move, has potential as a shooter and is starting to blossom athletically. Kansas State, LSU, Purdue and TCU have offered while Indiana is starting to show more interest. A guy who had NBA folks asking lots of questions was Zion Cruz. The No. 18 ranked product of The Patrick School (NJ) and the PSA Cardinals grassroots organization played up to his ranking and then some. Cruz was shifty off the dribble, finished with creativity and knocked down some tough, contested jumpers. Cruz has been performing very well of late and is coming off of a recent visit to Auburn with a trip to Oregon coming up after he finishes up at Pangos. Jalen Hooks should expect his phone to be continuously buzzing that day. He is not the most athletic prospect in the national 2023 class, but he has the ideal length and shooting touch that will intrigue college coaches once they are back in the gym. Butler, DePaul, Illinois, IUPUI, LSU, and Xavier have already extended offers and more should soon come his way.
