  1. Adam Zagoria - UNC, Michigan, Minnesota, Butler, Indiana, UConn, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Stanford, DePaul, Northwestern, Vanderbilt among those watching @AlexKaraban this weekend in AC. Alex Karamanos - Alex Karaban (@AlexKaraban) has so many levels to his game. Knocked down a couple threes so far, used his post game to score efficiently, and put the ball on the floor and made plays.
  2. Samad Hines - 2023 PG Gabe Cupps (@CuppsGabe) just dropped 27 points (10-14 FG 3-4 from 3) in a win this afternoon in Alabama. His feel, pace, decision making, floor awareness, and shot making abilities were all on display. Very confused on why he is not nationally ranked
  3. A member of our staff is in Birmingham, AL watching Banks in his first game of this weekend's Adidas event. Samad Hines on this game -- Have to admire the upside in 2022 F Kaleb Banks (@Kalebb_3). Solid game with 19 points (8-16 FG 1-3 from 3) and 7 boards in a win. The potential is there. 6-foot-7 with length, effective rebounder, mid-range skills, and good paint scorer. One of the top prospects in Georgia. Jeff Borzello -- Thought Kaleb Banks was really good for the Atlanta Celtics. Tremendous athlete, hit a couple long jumpers and 3s, outstanding in transition. He visited Indiana, Alabama and Georgia Tech in June, also mentioned Miami and Georgia as schools heavily pursuing.
  4. Dawson Garcia to North Carolina.
  5. What did it hurt? We certainly didn't invest a lot of staff time in his recruitment only to lose out at the end. I like to think we stuck our middle finger at PUke by extending the offer knowing they probably were in the driver's seat.
  6. Well that was a slam bam thank you ma'am courthship.
  7. Incoming freshman Jayden Ulrich named 2020-21 Gatorade Illinois Girls Track & Field Player of the Year. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2021/7/7/track-and-field-incoming-freshman-ulrich-earns-gatorade-athlete-of-the-year-accolades.aspx?fbclid=IwAR171sIwnP-DW80s1-IoHnG9-JxpXNUsFlehS7Xu3vq4L_LrHEvHtnAVr40

  9. Found his stats for his high school season. Over 29 games as a sophomore he averaged 4.9 assists/game and just 1.1 turnovers/game. That's a pretty good point guard. He averaged 15.2 ppg on 49% shooting; 35% on 3s and 82% FT. http://www.gwocsports.com/bkPlayerStats.aspx?player=587128
  10. Gabe Cupps @CuppsGabe Thank you to Coach Woodson and his staff for the offer to Indiana University!! Cupps is a 6'2" PG attending Centerville HS in Centerville, OH located near Dayton. He was unranked in the most recent 247, Rivals and ESPN rankings. Prep Hoops ranked him #193 at the end of June. He plays AAU for Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas circuit 247 Rivals Hudl May '21: https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-ohio-point-guard-gabe-cupps/ April '21: https://247sports.com/Article/Gabe-Cupps-basketball-recruitment-Indiana-Kansas-Clemson-164859062/
  11. Eric Bossi's latest thoughts, 247Sports Ranking: 25. In the mix: Washington made official visits to North Carolina, Purdue and Stanford during June. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and several others trying to remain involved. Bossi’s analysis: One of the most skilled post players in the class, Jalen Washington has tremendous footwork, soft touch and shooting range that extends to beyond the three-point line. Although he’s been careful to not list any favorites and there is no concrete word on him leaning anywhere, it would be at least a mild upset if his final pick didn’t come from one of the three programs that he saw during June. Does he stay home, or elect to head to either the East or West Coast? We’ll get a good idea of what Hubert Davis, Jerod Haase and Matt Painter are thinking over the next few weeks.
  12. Eric Bossi's latest thoughts. 247Sports Ranking: 22. In the mix: Offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Creighton, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Miami, Stanford, Tennessee and several others. Bossi’s analysis: Talk about explosive stock, hardly any big man in America took the grassroots circuit like Ernest Udeh did during the spring. The bruising 6-foot-10 post player backed it up with a dominant showing in front of coaches during June. This is one where everybody seems to feel they have a chance and Udeh hasn’t given any early indications of which way he may be leaning. We are expecting the five-star from Florida to be among the most heavily watched when he takes the floor this week for Southeast Elite in Alabama for the Adidas 3SSB event.

  14. Prayers already sent. Hang in there.
  15. Sun Belt player of the year DeVante' Jones will withdraw from the NBA draft and enroll at Michigan for his senior season, he told ESPN. Jones was one of the most sought-after players in the NCAA transfer portal this spring. DeVante' Jones was arguably the best perimeter defender at the G League Elite Camp where he had a strong showing. Averaged 19ppg last year shooting 37% for 3 while showing terrific pace operating out of pick and roll. All-Conference caliber player in the Big Ten, conservatively.
  16. Might be a much better game than you first thought. Julian Champagnie has withdrawn from the NBA draft. Averaged 19.9 ppg and 7.4 rpg last season. More than one commentator thinks with his return St. John's will be a tournament team and he'll be a Big East POY candidate.
  17. Had totally forgotten that Kopp had put his name into the early NBA early entry draft list when he also entered the transfer portal. Now official that he's withdrawn from the NBA draft process.
  18. Doubt he could have afforded the pay cut.
  19. Leland Walker of North Central HS announced today he'll transfer to Hargrave Military Academy for his senior season. Rumors circulating that his high school coach Jason Gardner will be (or already has) resigning to accept a position on the staff at his alma mater Arizona.
  20. Tyra's career taking a leap into coaching by assuming a position as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Panthers, a D1 program and member of the Horizon League. https://mkepanthers.com/news/2021/7/2/womens-basketball-rechlicz-adds-tyra-buss-to-staff.aspx
  21. Only the second day and it's already out of control.
  22. New addition to the roster. Lindsey Warick, a native of South Brunswick, NJ, played 1 COVID shortened season at Missouri. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2021/7/2/lindsey-warick-joins-indiana-softball.aspx?fbclid=IwAR0mfXS2M8YLzTZVdLnIWqOPr7qVWA2ZPKvl34eOxJ1G4eyTY4KdysZx4pg
