  2. Tonight's sectional championship vs Carmel scheduled for a 7:00 tipoff. Free stream at: https://www.ihsaatv.org/
  3. Jeff Goodman reports Ball State has fired Michael Lewis. Lewis was 61-64 in his four seasons as head coach. Ball State is considered a bottom half of the MAC job - per the job rankings I did last month. Need to step up resource-wise to be able to compete with the Miami University’s, UMass, Toledo, Ohio, Akron and Kent State
  4. Public service announcement from your helpful, courteous and grossly underpaid mod staff. SPRING FORWARD TONIGHT.
  5. Cook had an abbreviated schedule due to transferring from Christian Academy to Ballard and then back to Christian Academy in October. As a result of waiting for eligibility issues to get cleared up, he played in just 16 games. 14.4p, 5.4r 52% FG, 18% on 3s, 70% FT
  6. Gardner did not start but did play in his first game since Dec. 19, and scored a game and career high 24 pts. as Fishers defeated Hamilton SE 75-65 and faces Carmel this evening for the sectional championship. Able to practice the past few weeks, Gardner checked in midway through the first quarter and contributed by shooting 8 of 12 from the floor and 7-for-11 from the foul line while grabbing five rebounds. Cooper Zachary added 17 pts for Fishers.
  7. '28 Caleb Coolman's (Penn HS) season (18-7) ended last night in a sectional semifinal loss to South Bend Riley 58-47. In that game Coolman had 16p, 5r, 4a. 25 game averages: 21.4p, 7.9r, 5.1a
  8. Clinton Grace defeated in the championship game. I only have 14 games of stats for Lyons: 15.6p, 5.8r, 4.1a, 2.9s, .5b, 2.2t
  9. Women drop their conference opener 2-0. Mannon started and pitched 4 innings of 2-hit ball. Hess finished and gave up 5 hits and both of Minnesota's runs. We managed just 2 hits. Try again tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.
  10. Finley's season ended tonight in a 57-50 overtime loss to Creekview in a 5A state semifinal game. She had not played in the 3 previous games and started tonight with a heavy duty sleeve on her right knee but discarded it at halftime. Creekview did a really good job of denying her the ball inside and forced her teammates to launch an untold number of 3s. Georgia uses a shot clock. For this game, Finley finished with 11p, 13r, 4s, 2b, 4t. For 27 games per MaxPreps: 19.9p, 9.4r, 1.3a, .5s, 1.2b 43% FG, 30% on 3s, 75% FT.
