  4. Please lord, order Matt Hurt to come play for Indiana. I know it's your will that he play for us. And the other teams he is looking at all play for the devil. Aloha will be be a better person if you make this happen. Can't change him being ugly and looking like the back side of a bus. And one last thing baby Jesus, there is alot of hate on this board and you can smite any one of them hateful, no-gooder purdue people any time and make the forum better for those of us that are close to perfection. I prefer lightning strike over fire and brimstone, just saying....you know....less collateral damage. Your faithful from Alaska. P.S., let us score 103 points against our trespassers. It would also be good to give them 72 points. Amen!
  5. From what i remember, he was completely different than anyone else we have. He didn't play the 5 but was an old school big-10 brute that banged inside and out. Again, this is from memory (don't have much these days) but he would clear out the lanes for Hurt who was really skinny back then.
  6. "Because of his unique path, some may have lost sight of Race Thompson, the recruit. Rated 71st overall in the country, he was a significant win for Miller and the IU coaching staff. In his final year of high school he averaged 19.6 points and 8.9 rebounds" he played on the same AAU team "D1" as Matt Hurt. He graduated HS early and redshirted with IU. I may have been wrong about the injuries (redshirt) but maybe i'm not. I remember reading something somewhere when i was following him and M. Hurt. But, he did redshirt.
  7. i watched a few of his games a couple of years ago. Man, he was pretty dominant inside. He used to play on the same team as M. Hurt and they are real close friends. I'm very excited to see him conditioned and on the court. He was redshirted for an injury/surgery not because of his playing ability.

  18. New Helmet Rule Adopted for All Levels of Basketball Basketball Manitoba today announced details on a new safety rule introduced for all levels of basketball effective immediately. As of April 1, 2011, all players competing in a sanctioned school or club basketball game will be required to wear a CSA approved safety helmet. An additional requirement for players under the age of 14 will see a full face mask attachment to the helmet. This change comes after extensive research on a recent spike in head related injuries. Unlike when hockey introduced its helmet rule in 1979, there will not be a 'grandfathering' consideration allowing current players to opt out of the new requirement. The change affects all levels of play including school, club, university and college basketball. For an illustration of the new certified basketball helmets...
