IUFB Offseason Updates
Crimson and Cream replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Dakich is an idiotic troll. Why anybody is ever surprised at the nonsense that spews out of his mouth anymore is beyond me. -
I hope we watch overrated Jordan Tucker a lot in garbage time once we're up 30+

Sad story of James Hardy

Man that's awful to hear -
Even as a LeBron hater I'll admit he can't be blamed for this. Now granted, his defense has been extremely lackadaisical at times and also him not demanding the ball at the end of the game is a big difference between him and guys like MJ, Kobe, Larry, etc. But he's been putting up monster numbers, and hasn't gotten any consistent help from anyone. Thompson is utter trash, JR is almost worse with his putrid shot selection and terrible defense, Love can't even play his role of hit the open 3's, Kyrie always goes back to his weakness of chucking up forced 3's (0/7 tonight), and the bench did nothing at all. As a Pacers fan though I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them get blasted ;)

You already said that... -
When you make a lot of highlight plays you're going to be celebrating them more often. LeBron does a lot of staring down. Steph does a lot of different dances. Both are ok with me, but if anything LeBron's are more demeaning and disrespectful so I find your stance on the issue extremely odd. Again back to my first post yesterday, it seems you've got LeBron up so high on that pedestal that you're overlooking who he is and what he does.
-
I understand the business on the court thinking and that's why Kawhi is one of my favorite NBA players. At the same time I have no issue with showing emotion and having fun as long as it's in good taste. As I've mentioned previously, most of Curry's celebrations are with his teammates and fans. For that matter LeBron is the same way. That's why I don't see an issue in either case.
-
Oh for sure that was unacceptable behavior, but he didn't intend to hit the fan (the Cavs owners son) and even went over and apologized before leaving.
-
I don't get that at all. Celebrations are a part of the game. It doesn't make me mad when Curry does it, and it doesn't make me mad when LeBron does it (although it obviously hurts when he's doing it against the Pacers). What's bad about having fun? I just don't understand that thinking at all.
-
Here's my thoughts on that matter. I hate Cam Newton for those same reasons (among other reasons). He's extremely cocky. The difference that I see between the two is that Steph celebrates with fans and teammates and doesn't seem to get in opposing players faces with it, and also when things aren't going his way he doesn't pout on the level of most other superstars (or like Cam).
-
I guess the question is if Cleveland was winning would you have an issue with LeBron's constant celebrations? The answer is no.
-
Seems to be working. GS is having fun and demolishing the competition. You can dislike it all you want but I don't think they care that opposing teams fans (especially Cavs fans) get upset over it.
-
He's having fun. It amazes me how much people hate that. Plus he does it abundantly more at home in order to pump up the crowd.
-
I didn't even think that was disrespectful. They're having fun. The game was way out of hand and they were having some fun. The media has everyone so soft and touchy. My gosh people wake up and enjoy life. It's sports.
-
Major overreaction. He can't help that the cameras went to him. What's even disrespectful about it??? Guys always sit on the bench with towels over their heads. Is it suddenly disrespectful because he's laying down??
-
But when LeBron celebrates it's ok? That pushdown celebration isn't any different than any Curry celebration. I guess that would require you to not be blinded by bias.
-
What exactly is he doing wrong?
-
You have made a couple good points throughout this thread such as this post, but generally speaking you (and every other LBJ fan out there) hold LeBron up on such a pedestal that it's difficult to have a rationale basketball-related conversation with you. Any Cleveland (or LeBron) fan that complains about any officiating or missed calls automatically loses all credibility in my eyes.

It's really too dependent on QB play for me to guess right now. It's no secret I have zero confidence in Lagow so if he's back there my expectations will be tempered. -
Superstars get so many absurd calls in their favor and get a ton of help from the refs. That much is incredibly obvious.
-
I'm glad you said this because I was about to. Are you people seriously complaining about a LeBron-led team not getting any calls????
