He shot 43% from 3 with 3 attempts a game his last year at Drake, what do you mean "he hasn't made a ton of shots"?? The form looks good and he's proven he can do it an entire season. If he was hurt last season I'd say that's a valid excuse for a dip in the numbers. The kid's a Hoosier, let's give him and the new coaching staff a shot here instead of tearing them down due to a previous coaching staff/players disappointments.

The portal is like free agency in any pro sport. To get the top talent you have to "overpay". Ideally eventually we'll be adding more talent to the program via HS recruiting, but with no returning players (Goode pending) there's a lot of spots to fill and we'll have to dig into the portal to acquire some "win now" talent.

Speaking of which, has anyone woken up Armond to let him know his services are no longer needed?

Improved as the season went on, they finally inserted him into the starting lineup and he was playing great and then they benched him again and he struggled some. Great rebounder and shot blocker, big time lob threat. Runs the floor like his stamina bar is stuck at 100%. He can't shoot and he did struggle with foul trouble throughout the season.

This would likely be huge in dealing with Flory (if DeVries even has interest in him)
