  1. He's not going anywhere with the lack of revenue from no fans in football and basketball. I'm not sure I see enough Big10 quality basketball players which could make next year quite ugly
  2. Rob is a ghost. We need better PG play or I fear where we place in the Big10. I guess a partner for TJD leaves a lot to be desired too. No bueno
  3. Galloway contributes everything that Hunter does, with better defense
  4. 11:30 too early for him, maybe he wakes up after halftime
  5. Not a good look on that close out from Hunter, or lack of a close out is probably a better description
  6. What is happening to this board? Start Leal? Please. I will say if Lander doesn't play nearly 30 minutes, I thinks it's a missed opportunity. Lander needs minutes, and he won't find much this season as it continues until he can get his footing at this level. This isn't directed at you Clapper but: This forum is a funny place sometime. Lots of pointing to GBI and how toxic that place becomes - I've only ventured over there a few times but this place can't be much different after IU loses. Think there should be some perspective here. Yes, we still are very poor shooting team and that's incredibly frustrating, but we went to overtime on the road against a very good FSU team without Brunk - who I assume can still at least rebound. We lost by 2 against the 20th team in the country despite, giving up two possessions from rebounds off their own free-throw and I recall a critical turnover/foul from TJD after a rebound and failed outlet (I think that was a block, but still free points). Clean that up, make a shot and we're talking instead of how scrappy and how much of a hardfought win that was on the road rather than our failed shooting for 4 years and how this team will get waxed in the Big10. Sunshine pumping? Eh, maybe? Just let things play out this season before we starting generating the lists of the next coach. Just my $0.02
  7. He’s done it a few times tonight sadly. More critical on him than I probably should but was hoping a senior Durham would finally curb that from his game
  8. Oh trust me, I get it and hopefully Archie does as well (it's been obvious for a few years or so), but I'd rather enjoy THIS season. Assuming Trey will improve. Aarman already showing more confidence. It's a marathon not a sprint
  9. Love the fight and scrappiness. Can't shoot a lick, doesn't matter! Go Hoosiers
  10. I suppose it wouldn’t be a season if Al Durham didn’t drive up his own teammates back. One of the most frustrating moves from an IU player I can remember.
  11. Settling in so much better after that TO! Let's go Hoosiers!
  12. Hoping TJD comes out with the same fire today like against Stanford. Will need that for conference play!
  13. I just don't buy the rationale that firing Archie means an automatic rebuild. The next coach wouldn't be inheriting an empty roster like Crean inherited or left Archie when he lost momentum on the recruiting trail. Does Archie need to recruit better? Without a doubt, but there's some pieces here, I just don't know if they are being put into a position to succeed consistently enough. I'm still hopeful Archie turns this around, today was, hopefully and simply, a bad day. The shooting is still bad, but I'm still not entirely sure I can see what's trying to be accomplished on the offensive end. If the plan is to pound it to TJD, he'll need to play far better as the competition continues to improve.
  14. With the three guards - why not try and force the tempo. Saw a little against Providence and Tenn Tech but nothing today. Not sure how much of that was Texas and how much was us just getting in our own way. This has been bad shooting still and I fear things only get worse when Brunk returns as the lane will be even more clogged. TJD and Brunk on the floor together gives me nightmares from last season and sadly TJD doesn’t look improved enough for that rotation to work in my eyes this season. I’m still hopeful for improvement as we play 3 freshman regularly but this looks more of the same from the past few years. Not seeing much change in the offensive game plan, but it’s early
  15. Galloway played a lot of point guard/forward for CMA. He's had the ball in his hands a lot, Galloway is the least of my concerns with this squad.
  16. I'd almost assume that a redshirt was discussed as a deal breaker for him to commit to IU. I honestly have no idea how many games you can play in a 2020 college basketball season and still redshirt but I thought that college football had a limit of 4 games a few years ago.
  17. This is alarming to me as well. I've never seen Lander play in high school but he looks completely lost and overmatched. Yes, I know he just turned 18 but he looks no where near ready for college basketball, let alone Big10 basketball. Even passing he looks tentative and slow with his decision making. Only one bad game for the team, and would chalk it up to that if there wasn't the established pattern during the Archie era of these types of no shows.
  18. Did Cook Hall’s hours become more restrictive or have the players that have come through wearing IU red after Oladipo just less hungry to get better? I’m not sure what the answer is but these 42 point showings while getting beat by 20+ can’t make it easier to land a Kauffman in the future
  19. Quietest 17 points I can remember in quite awhile in CBB
  20. Only thing I add is the sales manager brought in the 6 employees himself - he’s not managing someone else’s employees. Archie doesn’t shoot for them, but he recruits them, picks who plays, calls the plays and places them in a position to succeed or at least is supposed to. I’m an Archie fan but he’s not absolved of criticism here when his players can’t hit shots
  21. The time invested in Brooks and Kaufman with no contingency plans are baffling to say the least to me. Hoping things get turned around but this looks more of the same to me from the past few seasons. Competition only gets harder from here - not going to play Tenn Tech every day
  22. And now Durham is hurt. When it rains it pours
  23. I’d rather see Cooper’s birthday gifts than the rest of this IU game in all honesty though. Maybe because my own dog is sick today
  24. I would assume our defense looks National Championship caliber during practice with everyone throwing up bricks
