  1. With the three guards - why not try and force the tempo. Saw a little against Providence and Tenn Tech but nothing today. Not sure how much of that was Texas and how much was us just getting in our own way. This has been bad shooting still and I fear things only get worse when Brunk returns as the lane will be even more clogged. TJD and Brunk on the floor together gives me nightmares from last season and sadly TJD doesn’t look improved enough for that rotation to work in my eyes this season. I’m still hopeful for improvement as we play 3 freshman regularly but this looks more of the same from the past few years. Not seeing much change in the offensive game plan, but it’s early
  2. Galloway played a lot of point guard/forward for CMA. He's had the ball in his hands a lot, Galloway is the least of my concerns with this squad.
  3. I'd almost assume that a redshirt was discussed as a deal breaker for him to commit to IU. I honestly have no idea how many games you can play in a 2020 college basketball season and still redshirt but I thought that college football had a limit of 4 games a few years ago.
  4. This is alarming to me as well. I've never seen Lander play in high school but he looks completely lost and overmatched. Yes, I know he just turned 18 but he looks no where near ready for college basketball, let alone Big10 basketball. Even passing he looks tentative and slow with his decision making. Only one bad game for the team, and would chalk it up to that if there wasn't the established pattern during the Archie era of these types of no shows.
  5. Did Cook Hall’s hours become more restrictive or have the players that have come through wearing IU red after Oladipo just less hungry to get better? I’m not sure what the answer is but these 42 point showings while getting beat by 20+ can’t make it easier to land a Kauffman in the future
  6. Quietest 17 points I can remember in quite awhile in CBB
  7. Only thing I add is the sales manager brought in the 6 employees himself - he’s not managing someone else’s employees. Archie doesn’t shoot for them, but he recruits them, picks who plays, calls the plays and places them in a position to succeed or at least is supposed to. I’m an Archie fan but he’s not absolved of criticism here when his players can’t hit shots
  8. The time invested in Brooks and Kaufman with no contingency plans are baffling to say the least to me. Hoping things get turned around but this looks more of the same to me from the past few seasons. Competition only gets harder from here - not going to play Tenn Tech every day
  9. And now Durham is hurt. When it rains it pours
  10. I’d rather see Cooper’s birthday gifts than the rest of this IU game in all honesty though. Maybe because my own dog is sick today
  11. I would assume our defense looks National Championship caliber during practice with everyone throwing up bricks
  12. He makes that layup - one he barely caught. Go figure
  13. What’s our lowest point total in a half? Did they mention when and who we were playing?
  14. This has been a problem since Day 1 Archie but could it be possible that it’s not easy for drives and kicks with this IU team as defenses can sag and clog the driving lanes as no one has proven to be able to consistently hit an outside shot. I can’t believe I’m typing this again but it doesn’t seem to be fixed despite adding Lander and Galloway. Durham seems to have the only obvious green light but it’s beyond frustrating watching the other guards become an absolute zero threat with the ball around the 3pt line
  15. We really can’t even get a shot off on an offensive rebound to close out a half. I thought there was a new offense this year - seems like we are trying last few years offense against Texas. Makes total sense Edit - hooray he was fouled before shot clock violation. More points
  16. Big10 season will eat us alive if they don’t improve. This is an embarrassing display
  17. Way to many easy drives and looks at the basket from Texas early. IU needs to get back and lock up on defense after a miss and make! Have a few still asleep for this early start
  18. The winners get the hell out of Asheville with 2 E's as soon as possible. I'm sure it's beautiful listening to Bill Walton most of my afternoon, but it's no Maui
  19. Hopefully TJD can get himself awake for tomorrow's 1pm start. He just didn't look good all game
  20. Odd. Less Durham and Franklin and lead the lead grew bigger. Hmm.... #StartLanderAndGalloway
  21. Honestly not too sure, parents live in Plymouth and my dad referees up there and said Penn postponed all team activities. There were several inter squad games this weekend. I know Plymouth was to have their own scrimmage today and I assume they still had it, but with Penn postponing I’d have to assume others will follow suit here at some point. I’ve been thinking this for a while but I’d be shocked if high school football has a full season this year. Would love to be wrong
  22. Penn High School football suspending team activities. Perennially a great football program, can only imagine this is one of the first dominos to fall for high school football from my neck of the woods in Northern IN.
  23. Don’t we have one of those leaders currently. Trade wars, travel bans sounds like an attempt to make them pay to me. But in hopes to get us back on topic - how about Chicago White Sox’s Luis Robert. That dude is so impressive in the little sample size we have so far. Once he learns to lay off the breaking ball out of the zone - watch out
  24. As the topic seems to be on TJD, has there been any sort of video or tidbits on any improvements from him in shooting and his shooting range? Would love to see him being able to step out a bit and nail a jumper this coming season. I’ve been out of the loop a bit but was curious of any progress made in that regard.
  25. Slight correction: DeKalb HS is in Auburn, IN. There is no Auburn HS.
