  1. This is disgusting to look at. We seem to be focused on recruiting size which makes some sense with the pending departure of TJD, but we need to upgrade at the guard position desperately, especially at PG. It’s a guards game and we have too many games where a guard or multiple guards completely disappear in the game. I had high hopes for Phinisee and really hoped he’d be more aggressive with the basketball and looking to score/drive more. He did it once during the Wisconsin OT but seems like that’s the outlier and not the norm. Does Archie provide him the freedom to do so or is it not in his skill set, I don’t know but it’s incredibly tiresome to watch him dribble the ball and not really accomplish anything from it.
  2. His speed doesn’t worry me, it’s his shot and defense. When is the last time he hit rim? Semi-serious question.
  3. Slight disagreement with bullet point #4. Do you think Lander can make an significant leap for next year? He seems so far off that his leap might just make him a role player. I honestly am not seeing much there where I feel confident he’s in a position to even help next season.
  4. Hey, a guy can dream can't he? I just watch the Hoosiers struggle and then flip the channel and watch Gonzaga hang 90+ on BYU and just imagine what if. I just want to see quality basketball on the offensive end. Watching IU at times these past few years has been like going to the dentist.
  5. Reinsdorf and his goons have run the Bulls into the ground. Billy D ain't going to save that mess. Offer him enough money and I'm sure he'd bolt. Something needs to change though as this is not much fun to watch anymore.
  6. I gave you 5 at least, and I don't really consider myself in that "Fire Archie" crowd at all costs, but I'm gradually getting there. This won't be sustainable especially if TJD does indeed leave.
  7. Urban Meyer type offer for Mark Few, Brad Stevens or Billy D. If that doesn't work then Chris Beard, Nate Oats. I love the defense Archie's teams play with when they want to, but you still got to put the ball in the hoop and I'm not confident he'll ever do that at a sufficient clip for IU ever to get over the "hump".
  8. Gonzaga starts at 9pm on ESPN if you'd like to see high quality offense played at the college level. They make it look so easy
  9. To borrow from James Harden, "We're just not good enough". Thought this for a while, but I think it's apparent, we just don't have enough. Who are the athletes on the team? Who's really skilled on this team? It's been discussed ad-nauseam here that we also lack fundamentals. We'll win some games here and there, sure, especially when the defense is locked in, but when you can't consistently score either due to lack or shooting or lack of a coherent plan, it's going to be difficult most nights.
  10. Spriggs, Brewer, Feeney and even Saffold if you'd like to go back that far had a large part in those RBs success. Pretty clear that Wilson was able to land some better OL than Allen has thus far, but he's essentially had one full recruiting cycle - give him some time.
  11. Phinisee - stop dribbling the air out of the ball. Could have hit Franklin in the corner an hour ago on that possession. Come on!
  12. We simply aren't good enough offensively to check out completely on defense. Obvious I know, but not sure our guys are aware of this fact. 33 with 5:10 to go - awful
  13. I'd settle for Lander to simply hit rim...would be a drastic improvement
  14. It's incredibly exhausting watching these teams continually shoot better than IU does in our own building...
  15. Lander....smh. I don't mean to pile on, but holy cow he can't play.
  16. I'll definitely agree that IU needs to get better and far deeper along the offensive line, but I'd simply say that the OL recruits was not something Hart was tasked with from what I've seen. Without quality holes for the RBs to run through, it maybe hard to discern the talent that has been accumulated by Hart at the position, which I can assure you is there based on the ratings. I recall the bowl game against Utah in Santa Clara when Lagow and Diamont were the QBs, which was only a full recruiting class away. It's night and day the offensive talent from that team to that of today, and it's not even close. If you're unable to see that, it's quite unfortunate as this is quite the time to be alive as an IU football fan
  17. You're the first one to say that IUBB will not get back to where we want to be until we get better players consistently. You don't have to look very hard to see that Hart has had a big part in landing some of these better players the last few years. He also doesn't call the plays, or teach the offensive blocking scheme so pinning the blame of running game on him is quite shortsighted. Just firmly believe you're underestimating his contributions to the program. And if we land a replacement that is not on Hart's level or doesn't continue to land these quality players (mainly RBs) I'd wager you'll be the first one to complain.
  18. Didn’t Hart have a big hand in landing Sampson James and Stevie Scott? James who’s one of the better rated recruits this program has ever had? But sure not a big deal...
  19. Buying the TJD NBA talk after tonight. Blown away
  20. Oh those cream IU uniforms. At that point I wanted to move too Nike or Jordan brand so bad. Still want to see that Jumpman IU merch
