I don't get the height discussion anymore either. RP is a legit 6'1" according to Rabjohns. It seems like once a narrative gets started it won't go away.

Clifton Moore is not a back to the basket guy on offense. That doesn't mean that he will be playing on the perimeter on the defensive end.

I agree with this.  In addition I'd think it also mean CAM should be pretty good at identifying PG potential and capabilities during the scouting and recruiting process.

Given the uncertainty of a new coaching staff we started with, I probably wouldn't complain too much about that as an initial class.

He is over 6'1"all, decent length, he jumps high enough to dunk. I think you are over thinking his lack of athleticism. Jordy Hulls lacked athleticism and was the PG for a top team. Coverdale lacked athleticism and lead our team to a title game. It's all about how a coach develops the player and the drive the player has to get better. There is no reason to think RP is going to be a bust at this point.

Yep.  I have such low expectations for the IU administration.
I'm aware.  I didn't want Samsung (nope, not using his real name) in the first place; I'm fine with second chances but he should've gotten that chance somewhere else.  I was just pointing out that really the NCAA didn't give us a death penalty for phone calls, we did it to ourselves.
Moral of story, don't self-report and sure as heck don't do the NCAA's job for them by punishing yourself.

Indiana sanctioned themselves, the NCAA just accepted.  Indiana screwed Indiana there.

Hurt is so skilled though. And we spent a ton of time on him this summer.

Brooks/Watford/Hurt hard to pick between them. All phenomenal.

Brooks has next level athleticism. So excited to be in on players of this caliber. Hopefully we can stay in.

I disagree completely. Archie isn't selling a 4 year starting spot. He is offering him a spot on the team and a opportunity.
Recruiting over is a myth in my opinion. It's  up to the player to keep his spot, don't get passed up. Meritocracy, the best players will play. If RP wants to start at indiana he will have that opportunity. It's his job to earn it. Look at Michigan football, Harbaugh started the 3 star unheralded QB in Speight over the instate 5 star QB in Morris. It's all about competition and whoever earns it will start.

I'm of the opinion that you play in shoes so all heights are in their shoes. If they are taller in shoes, it's a bonus.
I'm still of the opinion he is a solid backup PG  the next couple years at worst. It allows us to swing for the fences in future classes at the PG position. As I've said elsewhere this class is about building the base and building in state relationships. This class can set the tone for future classes. It just needs to be solid across the board. Build for a championship later. This thinking is why I will be pleased with any of the prospects listed. Plus Archie is a PG himself. He k led how to develop the position.
