  1. They should because of the merger. All part of the 24/7 network now.
  2. Actions speak louder than words (silence). Too much circumstantial evidence for it to be any other school than IU. Also, I was doing some random reading a few months ago (can't remember what site) and the consensus from scouts was that there is not a 1 and done PG in this class. Doesn't mean someone can improve to that level. If there isn't a one and done PG, then that makes IU an even better choice as our roster make up over the course of 2 seasons will be higher than Vandy. Of course we are adding Romeo for one year too.
  3. Monday will be a good day. Go IU.
  4. I didnt think Vandy was a shock to be in the top 3. I actually thought UNC would be in there and not Kansas. Then that made me remember that Kansas is an adidas school and UNC is not. Vandy is a Nike school, Romeo isn't going to a Nike school and he isn't going to Kansas. It's IU.
  5. Bright spots: •Making more FT than the opponent attempted •Davis looks to have improved from last year. •Al Durham has some fight to him. You don't get blown out without some major issues...turnovers and poor defense. So yes there is improvements to be had. You also have to tip your hat to ISU for draining some 3s that were contested.
  6. Actually he did. Like I said elsewhere, when DG, Cuju, and JN are all playing badly and you can't go into your walking in game one, Johnson is going to play. He has played well in practice. It's just not translating over. You need fame film to show the team. But yes let's use Johnson as the example of the bench not being used as a tool. Get over being pissed off that they lost. The team had some bright spots and are learning. This is a process and anyone who thought just changing Crean would fix a basketball cultural issue over the past 9 years, clearly doesn't realize how drastic a change Archie Miller's style is over Crean.
  7. Al and Hartman might be the only dogs, as of now. We will see how it goes and who emerges.
  8. Bc DG, JN, and CuJo were bad as well. Al was the only guard that didn't look disinterested. I don't think you go to walk ons in game one. You need the film of your guys looking to be in the rotation.
  9. Archie Meeds to figure out who is going to fight and have his back. Im starting Davis, Morgan, and Al next game. The other 2 spots are up for grabs by anyone other than Johnson or Green. They both start on the bench and have a shirt leash when they get in. They have to earn the right for extended minutes.
  10. We watched different games. I was watching guys getting yanked for stupid play. Did they get back in? Yes, but then yanked again when they messed up. I also saw Al come in and stay in bc he was willing to fight.
  11. I'm watching the game and am interested in what adjustments are made in the second half. ISU came out ready to play. IU came out lackadaisical. I want to see Archie light a fire. I'm not even upset they are down. Still plenty of time. The team seems to lack confidence overall. They aren't executing as they know what they are doing 100%. Even wide open 3's are being air balled. To me that screams lack of confidence. Which I guess should be expected this early. But have some fight and fire.
  12. I hope that he is watching. He should see immediate playing time and a quality post man. He will have Romeo has his backcourt mate.
  13. In recruiting, you win some and lose more, however I think we get Darius. If we don't, I will not be disappointed. That's just recruiting and you move on to the next recruit.
  14. Simmons went to where their assistant was a family friend and played basketball with his dad.
  15. I lived in the southwestern part of the state, so it was UK #1 and Illinois was a bigger annoyance than OSU to me.
  16. Basketball Rivals: 1. Kentucky 2. Purdue 3. Illinois 4. Ohio State 5. Any blue blood program
  17. Hell no. Lol. Michigan football
  18. I could see him deciding soon, but then not making it public until some ESPN signing special.
  19. Not indignant. Just find it amusing fans are putting down others in their own fan base. then are saying they can't stand other fans. I don't like PU athletics but I have fun bantering with their fans. It's what makes rivalries fun. Never understood the can't stand hyperbole.
  20. Can't stand them? Wow. Those are your neighbors. One of nicest, down to earth, humble doctors I know is a ND alumn and fan. Honestly, one of the best men I've ever met. I don't like ND football.
  21. It's really easy actually. :) When I was a kid I didn't even know IU had a football program. I loved football, Michigan was on TV every week, so I've been a fan since I was like 3-4 years old. My grandfather got me into IU basketball around the age of 10, so early 90's. I'm not a fair weather fan either, so I stick with my childhood teams. I do pull for IU football now, but not when they play Michigan.
  22. I didn't watch the scrimmage last night, but just from looking at the roster I'd say we are a bubble team. I could see us missing the tournament this year. I can also see us winning up to 23 games and making the dance. The early season schedule has me hesitant.
  23. I had us at 22 wins as well. Some different losses though.
