  1. https://x.com/JonChep/status/1929607627526553891 Holt was named MVP of the Adidas Eurocamp. Hell of a player. Kid’s the textbook definition of a dawg.
  2. I won’t listen to it because Coyle likes to hear himself talk way too much for me, but Shaw and DeCourcy are really good guests and Shaw might have some recruiting stuff worth hearing. Fwiw
  3. Will be an interesting year for LaLu. Holmes has been there a while now and the last couple of years the roster has started to erode. Last year they had Haralson, Adams and Love(meh) and that was it. They were uncompetitive with the better programs. Will be really curious to see what they put together this year.
  4. https://x.com/IndianaMBB/status/1929673440019030078/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1929673440019030078&currentTweetUser=IndianaMBB I assume this is the clip.
  5. 3 and 10 assigned. Huh
  6. Very few sounds as cool as a net snapping. Does the old heart good.
  7. Watched about 3/4 of this game and Holt was the best player on the floor. Even if that kid never scores a point he can impact games because he’s such a ridiculous athlete and a really committed defender. But that’ll never happen because he’s so explosive downhill that he can get to the rim on anyone. Big fan.
  8. So happy that Nancy Leonard and Herb Simon are still around to see this. Nancy and Slick straight saved the franchise and Herb convincing Mel Simon to buy the team and keep it local restored stability that had long passed. There is literally no Indiana Pacers without those 2.
  9. Such an Interesting deal. The way DDV built this year’s roster certainly looked, at least to me, like he was really emphasizing perimeter-oriented skill guys to the exclusion of traditional bigs. The he goes out and offers this kid and Taylor and Diane and shows interest in Hines and those kids are about as traditional as big kids get.
  10. Oh yeah. The guy is one of the great HS coaches ever. They would’ve had to commit giant resources to get him and the rest will take care of itself.
  11. Immaturity may be problematic when we’re young, but if you survive the early part it straight rocks when you’re old.
  12. Would love to know much it took to move him out of no state income tax, no winter central Florida to northeast Ohio.
  13. Interesting. You look at that picture and he looks a little soft and a little heavy and basically like a big kid. Then watched 1 piece of video of him and he’s a growna$$ man. That is not a flattering picture.
  14. Where did I get late 40's for you from? Happy Birthday and welcome to the Officially-Ain't-No-Doubt-About-It-You- Are-Indisputably-Old Club. And that is an excellent way to spend that day.
  15. One of, if not the hottest names in travel ball this spring. 8 weeks ago he was literally no one and unranked anywhere and now he’s one of the leading scorers in EYBL. Up to #60 on 247. Had never of him until Mizzou offered him. My understanding is he had no high major offers until just a couple of weeks ago. So it’s probably reasonable to assume this is a wide open recruitment,
  16. Still can’t really see how they don’t add 1 more interior kid. Thought initially that maybe he philosophically was creating a purely perimeter-oriented style of play and that’s why he hadn’t pushed hard on any traditional bigs. Then he goes out and offers multiple ‘26 post kids. So that’s obviously not the deal, he just didn’t like any of the available options enough. But I’m still feeling some 22yo Euro-big that we’ve never heard of may be in the cards.
  17. Just now saw this. Nice article by Kyle. 2 things here: 1) Gardner averaging fewer than 2 3pt attempts is pretty stunning in the modern game. Have never seen him but am I correct assuming that he can just get to his spots at will? 2) Miller's offer list of IU Indy, Radford and Alabama is hysterical. Early offer lists are a hoot sometimes.
  18. Is that really the best picture they could get of him? "Hey Drew, I know you just came off a 36 hr bender and you slept for 8hrs in the sun, but, here, put on this ill-fitting shirt and this pre-tied tie my 13yo was practicing on and we're gonna take a picture of you and put it out in public. Nah, don't worry about shaving, Dude, you look good. The double chin is no problem"
  19. The issue absolutely isn't the player(s), the issue is assumptive officiating. They make way. way too many calls that they don't or can't see based on reactions. That's what they need to be busted for and the direction from the League office needs to be, "If you can't see it, you can't call it." The Trey Burke block on Peyton Siva in the UM-UL National Championship game came across my feed the other day and that's the all-time example. The Ref was looking right through Burke, couldn't have possibly seen it even if Burke did foul him(he didn't), and called the fact the Siva went down. You can't freaking do that. If that means some calls get missed, they get missed.
  20. I wonder how many triple doubles with 0 TO’s there have been in playoff history?
  21. Watched 1 of Taylor’s games this weekend. Hell of an athlete for a kid that size. Excellent movement skills and coordination. Nice hands and feet. Would also like a current measurement on him. Would guess he’s more than 7’1”.
  22. Yaxel Lendeborg pulls out of the draft and is going to Michigan. Can’t lie, that one surprises me.
  23. PJ Haggerty to Kansas St. According to Zagoria, so take it with a gianta$$ grain of salt, he’s getting 2 mil plus an incentive pkg. If that’s correct K-State needs to pay me 100k or so to not watch them. I know he’s a good player but I caught all the wrong games because I’ve never seen him be that guy.
