    Everybody breath........................................

Go back and think of pre-season expectations.  We ALLLLLL knew this team was mysterious and unpredictable.  Heck, I didn't think we would have ever been ranked in the top 25 but we did.  We won some games that I shook my head at and we lost some games that I shook my head.  Quite frankly, I am feeling pretty good where we are sitting compared to my expectations.

I remember seeing a Bob Knight team get schooled at Minnesota by 50 and Pat Knight being the player of the game.

Continue to give support.  I know it's hard and that it sucks when winning isnt there.  But they could have given up last night and trust me, I would rather see 14 than 40 points in deficit.

Don't tell me the players don't want to win.  They are doing the best they can with what they are given.

Pray and have faith that the remainder of the season finishes well and above expectations.

Ended within everyone's tolerable deficit. Tough loss, but the team made a great effort the final 12 minutes and got it to 14. Take the lump against a possible championship contender, get back to AH, prepare for Michigan, and get the win before going to another tough game against Maryland.

Given the history...it doesn't bode well.  If half of the UK bigs go pro that is still an open door for him.

Trying not to be negative, just realistic.

I remember how pumped I was on the movement.

then for the longest time...we only had DD and Colin Hartman signed to the following class.  I recall people saying the same thing that we had a weak class coming in.

Then it became NV, Luke, DD, TW, Stan, and Colin.  This class has left the movement in the dust in my opinion.

There is no crystal ball in recruiting...only faith that players will fit the system and work hard to improve.

Ever since the PU loss, it seems the Crean haters have re-emerged with unsubstantiated "we'll never succeed with that man at the helm" posts in various forums. I consider this all to be total crap.

We are 6-3 in the Big Ten, and only one team has a better record, and that team got pre-season votes for #1 and has stayed in the top 10 all year. Yes, we're about to go to 6-4 and fall out of that second-place tie (barring a miracle in Cheeseland), but we have only three road games remaining in our last eight. Given Maryland's slump we might even be able to pull out all eight, but six seems realistic and a 12-6 B1G season with our only big man hurt through the toughest portion of it says "good coaching" to me.

The Ohio State loss looks a lot less painful given what OSU did to Maryland, too. In case no one noticed, Pitt knocked off Notre Dame this past weekend.

Of course, I'd like to see us in our elite Knight mold. But I'm old enough to remember the Lou Watson era, and what we have now is the best non-Knight coaching we've ever had. Even some of Knight's later years weren't so wonderful, but memories are short when it comes to his failures (as it should be given all his successes).

Do I like everything Crean does? Heck, no. But I like that he coaches outside the box, and I am highly impressed that we are 6-3 in the B1G after what we saw in November. So count me as one on his side until he proves to me he's going to take the program down. And I'm not seeing that at this stage.

We are out performing what most experts predicted for this team, barring the collapse the last two games. We are most likely headed back to the dance, mid to upper big 10 finish, and doing it without a legitimate 5 and freshmen playing major minutes.

I think too many people bought the fool's gold after the Maryland game, and thought we were a lot better than we are. Now the same people have jumped back off the bandwagon and think the sky is falling. Neither of which is the case.

I have been an IU fan for 40+ years, and have seen good, bad, and ugly. I'm loyal to a fault sometimes, but all the negativity shown to our current coach is counterproductive and SOME TIMES completely unwarranted.

I guess what I'm trying to say is anytime you get to thinking oh, woe is me, just take yourself back 5 or 6 years and remember how painful that was.

IU is the BEST team in college basketball regardless of their record. From some very highs to some awful lows, LONG LIVE THE CRIMSON AND CREAM !!!

I hate like hell that we lost last night.  But we all had a feeling it might.  I am happy with a 5-3 record at this point.  Team looks like it could use a group hug.
