Honestly? No chance. He isn’t very athletic and is slow laterally. He would get eaten alive in today’s NBA. I’m not saying that as a knock, it’s just what I see. He’s still a very good college player.

Great half from our guys! Really hoping we can keep this close throughout the game, but I’m worried our scoring will fall off when they go zone. I’m not confident we can stop them on the other end. That’s not on us, Duke is just too good down there.

I wouldn’t judge Archie based on one game against 5 potential NBA players. We don’t have soon-to-be All-Americans like we did the year we beat Kentucky.

I think we start off hot and get the crowd into it, possibly going into halftime with a lead. Second half I expect Duke to come out and play much better, beating us by 10 points or more. Their frontcourt is going to destroy us, even if Davis doesn’t get in foul trouble. They have 2 of the best rebounders in the country in Bagley and Carter to go along with Delaurier who holds his own. I want IU to win obviously, but I’m also realistic. Duke has been tested much more than us. Assembly Hall will definitely be a factor, but we just don’t have the talent to compete for a full 40 minutes.

That’s the thing though, we won’t beat them often. I love our coach, but coaching only goes so far. You need talent to win, and better talent wins out way more often than not. That’s why you always see the same programs at the top.

They can only go to so many of his games because of contact rules. I don’t think they have many visits left so they’re probably using them wisely.

With the guys we have coming in I doubt Hunter will ever play the 4. We have Morgan, Davis, Smith, Thompson, and Forrester for the 4-5. Hunter will primarily be a 3 with some time at the 2 as well. My guess is he’ll be more of a 2 his sophomore year after Romeo leaves.

I agree with this, but that 4-5 game stretch with Duke, UL, ND, etc will be rough. I’m praying we pull off one of them
