At this point we should roll with the freshman more often..still give the seniors time but acclimate them more as the season goes on. It’s obvious we aren’t making any noise in the postseason so get the guys experience for next year.

Always come out flat against bad competition. It’s on the players at this point. I don’t blame Archie

I think it’s fine to project next season while still being focused on this one. It’s a fun topic to think about. If we don’t get Romeo, I would expect the staff to go hard after a grad transfer guard. We’ll need someone to show the freshmen the ropes. I think we’re solid at the wing position, although young. Anderson and Hunter will be good and hopefully another can step up here. I’m not concerned with our front court. Hopefully everyone stays because we’ll be strongest there.

Moore was a much different player in high school than Jake is now. Moore thought he was a wing and he could get away with that against the competition he faced. Jake knows he’s a paint player that’s supposed to get boards, play good D, and dunk everything. That’s exactly what Archie will expect of him in college. I actually think a mobile, athletic big fits Archie’s system much better than a guy like Davis.

He had one bad game recently. Since when is 14 and 11 a bad game for a guy who likely never gets a play ran for him? He’ll contribute before year 3

I get this sentiment, but it’s a fine line to walk. What if this causes him to lose those guys mentally the rest of the year? That creates a toxic environment. If we have a terrible year because of that I’m thinking you can kiss Romeo (already convinced that ship has sailed) and TJD or whoever in the 19 class goodbye. Most of our recruits in the 19 class are getting recruited by MSU and watching them have a great year. If we bomb, they look that much more attractive. We need to have the most respectable year possible, and as much as I hate to say it, we need the seniors to do that.

I agree for the most part. I’m willing to throw away the first game against ISU as an outlier. But now the same script against Fort Wayne? That’s a tough pill to swallow. You know other coaches are going to use this against us. That and missing the tournament for a second straight year. We’re toeing that line of dropping from an elite program to a good one with excellent history. Kids can’t remember a time when IU was elite. That makes recruiting 10x harder

I’m most worried about this effecting our recruiting. It was straight up embarrassing to look at the score without even watching the game. Can’t imagine what it was like to watch. what are guys like Romeo, TJD, Brooks, etc thinking when they see this and everyone trashing our program? Yikes.

An abosolute hell of a game by our boys! I was in Indy but didn’t get to go, I’ll have my thoughts later. So proud!

I’m telling you guys, he’s going to be an awesome 2 guard for us in the future. I’m not as concerned if romeo doesn’t come because that will allow him more time to grow at the position and blossom his sophomore year.

Thats what I’m thinking too. Will be interesting to see how the staff approaches this off-season as far as recruiting goes.
