  1. i realize that, which is why I expanded on assists and turnovers above. I also understand he spaces the floor more for shooters, but he was also the one to force the issue in key moments of the game. Like I said, I'm not a JBJ hater. He definitely has some solid offense at times. Just putting some stats out there for discussion. We're also seeing OG step up and hit big shots in his absence, while also playing what could be argued as the best D on the team. This may not last, but at the moment he isn't as greatly missed on offense as previously thought, imo.
  2. Just to expand, on this year alone JBJ had 22 assists to 25 turnovers. Rojo has 50 assists, 32 turnovers. I realize rojo has played 3 more games, but those have been some of his worst turnover wise. I'm sure his A:TO ratio might be better without those 3. I probably seem like a JBJ hater, I'm not. I actually like what he brings when he's focused and hitting shots, but i think people are unfairly putting Rojo up against him
  3. this. It was never JBJ or rojo. They started together all last year and most of this season. And I seem to recall JBJ being pretty abysmal in most big games last year, so l looked up the bigger games this year. Wake forest, 1-8, 5 points. UNLV, 5-12, 13 points. Duke, 5-12, 14 points. Notre dame, 3-11, 11 points. So not terrible, but not efficient at all. I'll take D over that kind of offense any day
  4. So we're picking on RJ for stepping out of bounds once, and dribbling off his foot once, while Troy and yogi get about 3 TO's each stepping on said baseline per game. I don't see those as a way to single him out. With RJ out, will Bryant even get a post touch?
  5. Definitely becoming one of my favorite players to watch. He has so much length, which has lead to some impressive steals at important junctures of the last few games. Also, who knew he was a sharpshooter? I'll take those 3s all day :)
  6. thanks for the response. I do agree that he hasn't looked the best lately, hopefully he can return to Notre Dame form soon!
  7. disagree completely. Always has solid D, doesn't force it on offense and usually let's the game come to him. He's the best post feeder (I don't know off the top of my head, but seems like he has at least 3 assists to Bryant every game). Notre dame come to mind? 17 points for Rojo in that game and was a huge reason we won. He's had a couple bad games sure, but who hasn't on this team. I think it's very unfair to single him out
  8. Ugly, ugly win. Impressed with the defense. Rojo still struggling, but played great D and had the play of the game getting that steal at the end. Can't be upset with a W.
  9. i know they're hitting shots right now, but generally they don't have enough firepower on O to contend with the likes of Kansas, MSU, or Oklahoma in my opinion
  10. I'll take the road W. Need to put a full game together against Wisconsin
  11. I hate Ted Valentine so much
  12. lol if that happens I will become a much more casual follower. It's already starting to happen
  13. We can't stop Nebraska or Rutgers on D..I'm fearing the absolute worst against the likes of MSU, Maryland, Purdue. Heck actually anyone left on the schedule.
  14. Absolute horrid officiating..it's so bad as a whole this year
  15. decent. Offense is looking good as usual, defense is giving up drives to the bucket. They're missing them thank god. Too many turnovers by Troy and yogi
  16. Tom is gettin some absolute horrid fouls called on him
  17. Can we please stop letting Troy drive at the top of the key..please
  18. sorry, didn't mean to sound nitpicky, love the updates! You just made it sound like Yale was in the B10. Sorry for that
  19. Yale isn't in the B10. They're an Ivy League school I believe
  20. Off topic, but has anyone seen Albers latest gem of a tweet? Wow. How does that guy have a job
  21. its been in him since high school, and I seriously doubt Crean tells him to reign it in
  22. I'd be okay with rojo holding a clinic for our team on how to play D.
  23. Why in the H did JBJ start the half over rojo?
