For a guy who's already played 3 years for IU, it would be a tough choice. And don't act like he's gonna go to some 3rd world country. Players make good money over seas and get to travel. Your bias is getting in the way of an actual tough decision for Rojo. Also, it's not a guarantee he will even go overseas with the D-league raising their salary to at least 75k. By some of the posts on here, you'd think Rojo is ruining his life leaving IU lol

This will be a good test for us. Have some tough road/neutral games early in the season..

I'm not so sure about that. If there was ever a recruit to get in on early, it was this one. Crean was all about offering kids early in their careers to be the "first", but he held off on Trendon. Trendon himself said there wasn't any contact between Crean's staff and him. Really strange for a recruit that is 2 years out to have 0 contact. It's all a moot point now, but I never saw any indication that Crean planned on pursuing him. I'm just glad we have Archie who isn't afraid to make that connection.

Ever think it's possible reporters got wind of something and could be wrong? Stop chastizing Rojo and saying you don't want him back because he's thinking about his future. Everyone on here would be glad to have him back and they're kidding themselves if they think him leaving would be any kind of positive.

Now Rojo tweets he's still in the draft process and a decision hasn't been made lol. Makes me think the media never consult with their "sources" after an announcement like this is made. They just piggyback off the first guy to hear it.

This is where I'm at. I think he'll include us until the end, but mostly as a courtesy to our staff and being from Indiana. He's going to Duke or UL like everyone else thinks.

Less guys worried about the NBA and more out to prove themselves. I think that's the type of team Archie excels with. I'm excited for the upcoming year

His first year he was the starting point with Watford, Hulls, Vic, and Zeller. So 2 years he was the best player on a bad team :)

Has a lot of ties to Minnesota. Will be hard to pry him from there. Archie is working his @$$ off though, no doubt.

I'm wishing the best for Blackmon and hope he gets paid, whether that is the D-league or overseas. As an NBA player I just can't see it. James is what, 6'4? That would project him as an NBA 1 or small 2 guard. James neither has the vision or quickness to play the 1. This would leave him playing the 2 spot only. He definitely has the shooting ability to play that position, but his real trouble is on D. Can you imagine him trying to guard the best 2s in the league, even the backups for that matter? He gets blown by on a regular basis in college. You can hide certain shooters in the league on D like Channing Frye, but only because he's versatile at 6'8. I can't point to a single 2 guard in the NBA that gets consistent minutes and doesn't play solid D. I just don't see the lateral quickness with James to ever be able to guard effectively. Again, I wish him the best and hope he proves me wrong. I just highly doubt he has any shot.

Is there a reason we aren't going after this kid harder? I don't know much about him, but he consistently puts up good stats and seems to have high major interest

Yeah, I know we aren't supposed to complain about refs..but man there have been some egregious no calls this game. I'm glad I'm not invested in the NBA much.
