Imagine how confusing living on the river would be for huggy bear he would never know where he was. -

Misgivings aside, what a cool moment for Leal. He backed up the talk tonight. I did not have Leal Game Winner on my bingo card. -

Offense aside which is special, Ware's defense around the rim is going to make him a lot of money. Still gets a little too aggressive sometimes but his timing has really gotten better throughout the season -

Has any other team in America fouled more three point shooters after a poor recovery than us? Sure doesnt seem possible -

I agree with you, I was merely interested in the numbers and target. Clearly UL is going to exhaust every route for a proven P5 cat before doing the mid-major thing. I did not say it, but I think this actually points more towards Dusty to OSU instead of UL, which I have said before would be my personal nightmare as a Michigander and IU alum. -

Card Chronicle reporting sources saying they are offering Drew 8-8.5m a year and NIL guarantees. I don't think he leaves Baylor, but if this is the money they are throwing around, it would appear they realize how important this hire is. -

I am no basketball savant, but It is almost like guys who never coached in college aren't good at coaching in college. Weird. -

If that happens and woody is still head coach on Sunday I am going to seriously start to question your loyalty to the movement lmao remember nothing screams “sound financial decision” like throwing money at the Indiana University Athletic Department. -

Well if Gallo and Leal got their deals doubled I’d imagine they felt obligated. If someone told me my salary was jumping from 500k to 1mm (made up numbers) I would defend them too lol -

I don’t disagree, and you are probably right. But I’ve seen plenty of c-suite types who were seemingly on great terms for the good of the organization to the public and lower level employees. Behind closed doors? Not so much. The power dynamics with people in these types of roles are just different. I would say more so in a situation such as this where you have a very loud and very impactful consumer base— the fans and alumni. Given the complete radio silence all year, I don’t think it is stretch to say it seems very possible the relationship may be strained. -

Yea I’ve taken the tampering to be the new “bag men” of this CBB iteration. I think it could be as simple as a HC taking a second in the hand shake line to let a player know he likes his game, all the way to shoe company reps making overtures. It’s the new dirty recruiting since paying in and of itself isn’t illegal. -

My reasons have always been mostly future related. Had we had a season in the tournament or near the bubble, and looked competent against good teams, with a win or two AND had a full recruiting class this wouldn’t be a conversation. The Auburn game was the first I had been able to attend since 2017. Within about 4 minutes it was clear we were playing a different game. There were signs too with the program. Anecdotal, but the first thing we (IU folks) noticed was that the area set aside for band was empty. Auburn? Full. The seats for our band opposite Auburns literally sat empty. It was embarrassing. Auburn people around us were really surprised and a little offended in a joking way (IU too good to bring the band). We heard the fight song once, over the speakers, during pregame. And we outnumbered them probably 3-1. Woody has completely squandered the goodwill and momentum TJD and JHS left him with. -

I guess the whole “no one bigger than the program ever again” stuff was BS lol. We are being hamstrung by two dudes who were major parts of making that guy “bigger than the program.” -

I mean I don’t think this is a wild take. How often do programs the size of OSU, Michigan and Louisville open? To me, it is more about the type of program than quantity, and you alluded to it, but it cascades. Cronin to UL? UCLA open. Miller to OSU? Xavier open. Etc. etc. Side question, and I’ll preface I am on record as I would take May yesterday but I prefer Pearl. Do you think, given the lack of support from QB, and assuming Dolson can act unilaterally that he would actually fire Woody without someone proven at the P5 level locked up? I don’t think May is much of a risk, but if he didn’t work out, that’s Dolsons job. I am just not sure he takes it without a grand slam lined up. Thoughts? -
