While I don’t think it is about money, it kinda always is, a little. that said, what would it take to get him? $7million? -

Zero winning seasons in the bigten and collectively over the 4 year period I believe we are 10th out of 14 IU should fire him even if he offered to coach for free -

If he comes back next year, it could easily be the most apathetic our fanbase has ever been really really poor decision if that is indeed the case -

There is no need to say anything if we aren’t firing him. I can’t imagine a presser that states we have full confidence in Archie. Not true and no need to say that -

Exactly, not many coaches walking into a job with a title contender so for Archie to have a fringe ncaa caliber team his first year is a pretty solid jumping off point -

We should have never hired him then if that was his thinking going in. He inherited a fringe ncaa tourney team. No reason he shouldn’t have things humming by now -

Tomorrow is big. The first opportunity for Dolson to fire Archie was right after our loss to Rutgers. The next real opportunity is tomorrow. There will be more opportunities thereafter of course but tomorrow is a good time to do it if ready -

It’s not him being the fall guy, it is his job, he makes all the decisions and is paid $3+ million a year and if he actually won games he could be at $4 million a year with incentives that’s crazy to think how much money he has been paid to have the worst 4 year stretch in IU history. Think about that, worse than Mike Davis, worse than Tom Crean. Crean won 27 games in year 4 and almost knocked off eventual champion Kentucky in the Sweet 16. All that after only inheriting Kyle taber 3 years earlier. there is nothing, absolutely nothing to be excited about the past 4 years and as we go into year 5 with gaping holes and open scholarships and still can’t shoot or defend the 3, enough is enough Zero winning seasons in the bigten, zero -

That’s not even possible. Maybe it’s not certain that he will be fired but it is absolutely a topic whether openly being discussed or behind closed doors, it’s just too important and topical for there not to be buzz in the AD dept about it -

We need someone that can bring in solid transfers. It’s a very important part of recruiting and coaching today. Transfers have been key on a lot of good teams. Just because Indiana hasn’t had many good ones under Archie doesn’t mean we can’t do it at IU. knight took on plenty of transfers I would think whoever is here next year needs to bring in several transfers. We have open scholarships -

I’m not a huge fan of Mack. They’re a bubble team as well and his success he’s had can be attributed to Pitino at least a little -

Is it an issue? It was said that the buyout had been raised. if that is inaccurate let me know. if true, then you have a clean slate to hire. We’re going to pay a coach regardless so whether it’s Archie or X it doesn’t matter, we’re going to pay someone $3+ million. Every school thinking about making an upgrade is thinking Bout Covid this year. That will stop some from cutting ties and chasing bigger fish. Positively, assuming next year is not a Covid year, there will be a ton of change. When you want to be at the top of the pecking order, that’s not good for you -

This is exactly what I’ve been saying all along. Nothing will change from now until next year except the buyout being reduced. if there coaches we want now, go after them. If they say no today, they would say no next year. It makes zero sense to assume options will be better next year and in fact, they will likely be worse -

There is no reason to wait outside of the buyout. Dolson has had time to work on this and has realistically another month to sort it out. That’s plenty of time to find a guy that will work for us. as I’ve said over and over, it’s not one guy he is looking for, there are plenty that will work out, just need to pick one of those. He needs to identify who those are and go after them -

There is no reason not to replace him. There is never a guarantee that the decision being made is the right one and another year doesn’t change that. that’s it, there are multiple coaches that if given the chance would succeed here. Keeping someone we know isn’t going to work sets us back further than most can imagine. we’re losing the best parts of IU basketball everyday and that is the passion
