  1. If Trayce stays, we are only missing an assassin from 3 to space the floor - the rest of the lineup would be solid and could compete with anyone. mcneil, maybe? Who is the best 3 point shooting 3 available?
  2. IU, PU, MSU, UM was all I heard until recently. I certainly not the recruiting guru but those four were the ones most mentioned for over a year
  3. What am I missing? It was considered a 4 horse race when Fife was here and then now we are out of the hunt.
  4. I would prefer he visit now while the campus is bustling - will be rather quiet in June
  5. Other than the staff recruiting and landing the best available 4 out there in Reneau…
  6. It means not only is his 3 ball improving but when the defense closes out hard, he has the ability to step in and confidently hit the mid range shot. That’s a 3
  7. I want him but not at the expense of Geronimo
  8. That is correct. While I was wrong on Race and Trayce playing 40 minutes, it was pretty close, 5 minutes on the bench total between the two of them and then that means the front court got a total of 5 minutes rest and the back court got 17. none of those minutes went to logan Duncomb who was available to play. 17 to Geronimo who played more in the front court and a walk on who also played in the front court. JG performing well at the 3 is another story, but LG getting zero run at the 4 or 5 when we were severely outnumbered is baffling
  9. He is late to the game in general. He can play the 3 if the staff plays him there. When he arrived at IU he wasn’t much of a basketball player at all, could have walked out onto the football field and had just as much success. he’s a high ceiling work in progress. He needs to go wherever the staff is committed to him developing at the 3. He has the chance to make professional money at the 3 whether that be in the nba or overseas but not as likely at the 4
  10. Did Troy Williams father a child when he was in middle school?
  11. I remember when Logan Duncomb did that to Furst. Hope this is different this time
  12. No… our front court played the entire 40 minutes and was gassed despite their being a scholarship player on the bench available. the guards got a breather, from a walk on… Not sure why that is hard to comprehend - our front court NEVER played the entire game before or after that, they usually get a breather and could have that game but coach opted to run them into the ground vs put Logan Duncomb in even for 1 play
  13. Was that really a need? Does Hanner Perea still have any eligibility left? The need was to add more players that are multi-dimensional offensively. Dennis isn’t that at all, he’s not much of an offensive threat
  14. I don’t understand the need to get rid of anyone at this point. You cannot have 13 guys that get minutes and players 11-13 will likely never get anything more than mop up time. so 11-13 are the good teammates, the good practice players, the good for the program kids and Leal is all that. If Woodson needs more than 11 scholarships to construct a well rounded team than he is doing it wrong. most of the top schools either don’t use all of their scholarships or have a few guys like Leal at the end of it
  15. What makes a 3, a wing in your eyes? I feel like with the way the game is today any preconceived notion of what that is is gone. JG can do a little of everything where Kopp and anyone else we would trot out there cannot. Switching on D wasn’t possible with Kopp and Stewart and is with JG. He is the Swiss army knife that Kopp cannot be and never will be.
  16. Kopp doesn’t create anything or attempt to so he shouldn’t turn it over at all. He is a catch and shoot, stand around in the corner and wait for others to create kind of guy. geronimo makes things happen and doesn’t wait for others to spoon feed him, quite the opposite, he cleans up others trash. also, I have no idea how anyone could watch Kopp on D and say he is anything other than a broken ankle
  17. JG is our 3. People talk about “3” “wing” skills when it comes to JG but refuses to say the same for Kopp who couldn’t dribble and chew gum at the same time
  18. Absolutely but OG didn’t have that in college either, he was just a freak athlete. He has improved a ton since he got to the NBA. JG brings so much to the team on both sides and with two point guards out there he isn’t going to be asked to handle the ball a ton
  19. These two Montverde kids have been all about team and winning and less about the show which I love. Will be even better when they get here and deliver on that same level at IU on another note, JG is absolutely a 3 and the best option we have there. I’m watching OG play the 3 for the Raptors right now and JG can be that for IU
  20. If the staff keeps eating there and bringing recruits there… they will learn
  21. We should imagine any school he is looking at being a threat. Lots to love about IU but you never know what or whom he will vibe with
  22. There were several points being discussed but the one I addressed is the one about 34% vs 36% from 3 only being 2 percent difference. While true, someone’s 3 point percentage holds a lot more weight when they can do it in volume
  23. Thank you. 50% on 1/2 is not the same as 50% on 5/10. not sure why that was even a debate but appreciated others confirmation
  24. Had we had a JBJ last year I think we win 5 more games and are in contention for BigTen title.
