Beer and brats with all of the fixings... And if you are going to have a hangover...may have to remember what we did in the late 60's or 70's for that. I was thinking before IU destroyed Penn State that IU needed another scorer and a great passer. I mentioned TJD. Wilkerson (44 points in 24 minutes) stepped up as did the whole team. I liked the defense and the assists and the energy going after loose balls. And the change of the starting 5 helped kick start the evening. Had a lot to do with PSU's lack of experience. That and the home court advantages. I will have to review how IU stopped the opponent from streaking to the basket. Did IU defend better? Did PSU just give up? The UK game could be a cold-wet slap in the face being on the road.. Got to bring the energy into each game. That is the challenge. Is it 5 o'clock somewhere? I have to find some Cooper's Craft good stuff. Maybe sample a little before the Rose Bowl. Maybe...

From a Nittany Lions fan forum: Kayden Mingo (#4, 6'3", SG) Go-to scorer (15.0 PPG) Mostly a slasher Positional size and length from a guard spot Playmaker for teammates once in the lane Great ball control for a freshman Only 6-30 (20 percent) from three Providence shut him down – 2 points, 1-8 FG, 0-0 FT Freddie Dilione V (#5, 6'5", SG) Consistent scorer in his fourth year of college basketball Improved three-point shooter (38 percent on 29 attempts) Takes a lot of shots and threes off the dribble Indiana needs to funnel Dilione into mid-range shots Melih Tunca (#9, 6'5", SG) Averaging 12.6 points Mixes threes with drives and cuts to the basket Not much burst off the dribble but uses his length well Solid three-point shooter (9-20) Turkey native Ivan Juric (#3, 7'0", C) Inside-outside threat as a center Averaging 15 points a game over the last three Not a great rebounder for his size Gets to the line a lot but only shooting 57 percent on 37 attempts Croatia native Josh Reed (#10, 6'8", SF) Finishing well at the rim to begin the year Not a great shot blocker or rebounder Shoots about two 3-pointers a game with limited success Played three years at Cincinnati Dominick Stewart (#7, 6'5", SG) Nearly all his production comes from 3-point shooting Minimal role last year as freshman, expanded this year Not a slasher or playmaker Indiana needs to force Stewart off the 3-point line Eli Rice (#11, 6'8", SF) 3-point specialist Has 26 3-point attempts compared to 11 from inside the arc Limited impact on the defensive end Tibor Mirtic (#16, 6'9", C) Excellent around the rim Very good rebounder on both ends Not a three-point threat Dives hard after screening on the perimeter Listed as a freshman, turns 23 in February 2026 Sasa Ciani (#22, 6'10", C) Traditional center without shot-blocking abilities Is not finishing at all around the basket through nine games Began at Xavier before playing at UIC last season Penn State's offense The Nittany Lions space the floor, typically pulling their center to the perimeter. They run a bunch of ball screens trying to get downhill. Penn State also sets many pin-down screens on the wings. PSU lacks dynamic athletes, but they do set and use many screens. Indiana will need to have more defensive urgency than it has had in the last two games. Mingo, Dilione, and Tunca make the Penn State offense go. Mingo's slashing, Dilione's overall shot creation, and Tunca's playmaking are the primary sources of Penn State's scoring. If those three are producing, Indiana will be in a fight. If the Hoosiers contain them, Penn State will not be able to score consistently. Penn State's defense Mike Rhoades had elite defensive teams at VCU. Those teams thrived by creating turnovers. This edition is much different. They will pressure the ball and be physical, but Penn State lacks the athletes to create havoc in the backcourt. The Nittany Lions will use a zone full-court press, but they are mostly man-to-man. PSU will try to push opponents away from the basket on the perimeter, but they are not as athletic or big as Louisville. (Originally posted on Peegs. Chatting with people in Ohio today, and wearing an IU hoody. Two pro IU guys were ecstatic. The consensus of pro-OSU fans is that Mendosa got seriously hit by their very best defensive guy. All were surprised that he got up and after shaking most of it off and catching his breath, went back in to lead IU to the Championship of the B1G. Tough guy. He said, belatedly, that he knew he would get back up. Those IU players are something else.

Seconded. The entitled demeanor of the buck-teeth punks here in Ohio makes me cringe. What is special, though, is the non-Ohioans cheering for anyone to beat the teeth out of these guys. The game is on the trenches. That is the biggest challenge. And I just don't know which line on which play will have the upper hand. Mendoza absolutely has to be protected and allowed time. Ths. The IU coaches have got to outcoach the dark side. Keep OSU guessing. Make it so.

IU vs St. Louis in Soccer Sunday at noon. BTN+ Indiana set for rematch with Saint Louis in NCAA second round - The Hoosier Network -
Closing on the sale of our house today...got full asking price! Our new one-story is shaping up nicely in a great location. My 40-year old daughter is giving birth to our first grandchild Friday! Nearing completion of the football season, IU stands alone atop the Big Ten! IU is undefeated at 11-0 and is way ahead of OSU which does not have as many wins. And, still, Purdue sucks! But topping those phenomenal events is Indiana basketball hosts Lindenwood U. this evening on BTN. The Lindy Lions No. 335 in KenPom just this summer became a transitional Division 1 team! IU is blessed to host them on our historical home court! Now that is something for the ages. Getting the popcorn ready.
