I did not listen to the game. I did not watch it. It was hours after it was over that I looked for the score of the guaranteed win game. The writing is on the wall for this team if they do not hustle in the close games. With little inside shot blocker, rebounding and getting second-chance shots... One needs an excellent PG and a glue guy and a show-stopping Jared Jeffries type getting double-doubles in the box score on the baseline or underneath. And a coach that knows how to take advantage of what the opposition gives. Recently we moved to a one-story house. Got lots of chores to complete before the holidays. Got them done Saturday listening to loud rock music. I used to search out games at local sports bars if I didn't have access to the games at home. Not any longer. BTN+ can go suck an egg. Debating on Peacock. Why? Apathy is too broad a category. There are more and more games. There are other things that compete for our attention. Like life, reality, other sports, other forms of entertainment. And almost a lifetime of mismanagement of the basketball program... Clearly, if the team is really flawed, the coach is not getting them to click, the PG, SF, others don't perform, and they play the little sisters of the poor, and there is doom and gloom about the B1G challenges, and it is a foregone conclusion that there will be a letdown in the 2nd half...do not blame the fans for 80 clicks on this site. Besides, if the administration doesn't care enough to go after the best fit coaching prospect, then should I be watching because of loyalty or something? I'll be back, though. Just maybe not on Monday.

How is the weather in Lexington? Is there going to be a significant turnout of IU fans? I remember being there for the NCAA tournament games against Duke and Akron in 2002. The UK fans were so very against Duke that they absolutely did cheer unreservedly for IU. That was greatly appreciated. F...UK.

On Rupp Rafters they generally are saying that they envy IU's discipline, coaching, 3-point shooting and heart. Seems to me that their fans are 50 - 50 on predictions for the game. Think about that. They state that UK has more athleticism and talent. But there is some dissention on the team. The jury is still out on their HC Pope. Many are not happy about restarting the games between the two universities. That means that they are very, very worried. Both teams are beatable. If UK stops our perimeter passing at the top of the key, then get some calls...they will have a huge advantage. They really, really need this win. The have already lost to UL and UNC. A trifecta, they cannot handle. If IU can defend without fouling and gets assists and avoid streaks going south, then IU wins. A game on the road against even a halfway decent team worries me. (Spoiler alert: UK is not even halfway decent by definition.) Watch IU beat UK at Rupp...UK will implode and get pitchforks out. It is going to be glorious!
