I was a junior at IU when we last won big. Disappointed and Indiana basketball have gone hand in hand for over 20 years. After hiring Cig I will give Dolson a chance but his future will be decided in this hire.

A championship winning coach in Pitino says that’s our guy and would have us in the top 5 every year competing for championships. This after spending time with him. Beard wants the job. After May says no, he’s our guy.

He was also an assistant to Knight right here at Indiana. Certainly didn’t follow Knight’s never breaking NCAA rules.

Why not reach out to Billy D? He’s still young and a proven winner at the college level. Could recruit Indiana kids and offer bonified NBA advice & guidance. He would be in my top 5 of along with May, Beard, Pearl, Drew.

We know about the Adidas scandal or worse UNC/Kansas academic scandal. I guess my point looking in hindsight is we probably should have slapped Sampsons wrist, kept him, and won a couple more titles. But the reason we lose now, odds are will continue to lose, are these holier than thou fans/alumni and mentality that won’t consider or hire a coach like Beard.

Sure, his kids love him and play hard. With our NIL there will be no need for strippers and blowjobs. He won’t be chasing women longer than 60 seconds.

Excellent post and our only lure would be building a home state former great program back to greatness. He’s already a legend at Baylor but being one at IU is much different.

You may not want him, but there’s many who do plus want to win big again at Indiana. Something we haven’t done here in a long time. I think a handful could be just as good. Were you a Stevens or die guy just coming out of the haze?

I’m warming to Cronin. His teams play hard and obviously well coached. He has big, thick guards and good shooters. The big guy plays hard too and that wraparound pass play was sweeet. Big buyout though correct?

The number placement on the jersey front reminds me of the Soviet’s uniforms. Adidas can do much better.

All good my friend just making light of an all encompassing topic. I’ve been shot down by my choice of our new coach, by other posters who don’t seem to have the same beliefs as free, unfettered discussion. Book naming for Stevens could be endless. Peace!
