Looking for positives…Luke Goode shooting!

Thanks for your insight. I would love to hear more about how IU is an incompetently run university from your experience. How does this affect men’s basketball? If Woody does not indeed report to Dolson, this may be an example of this.

This is why Woody should have never been given the job in the first place. Even though he had internal pressures, the hire was on Dolson and the buck stops with him. As good as Coach Cig it, Woodson has been equally as bad. Indiana should never miss an NCAA tournament.

One of the few positives for sure is his improved shooting. Question for you and everyone; would you take this improvement over always playing hard, playing defense, blocking out, diving on the floor? Not piling on because a real blue blood coach would have already fixed these issue with pine therapy. It’s the real Indiana way.

Shooting better obviously opens things up inside. Rice needs to take better care of the ball and MBako needs to play D. Better overall effort though.

Crean had 2 hour pre game walk thru’s that killed his most talented teams late in the season. He showed his real coaching prowess at UGA just like Sampson has at Houston. The one that got away over phone calls.

Reminds me of another blowout loss last year against Auburn in Atlanta. We got beat in every facet of the game. How could any real coach allow for such an abysmal outing? Top talent, bottom coaching!

It’s difficult watching a first year coach from South Carolina actually have a game plan where Chuckie Wisconsin drives and kicks for 3’s. Our game plan turnovers.

So much talent and so little time to get to mesh. With our NIL and tradition and history, we should be top 5 and Final Four regularly. There simply isn’t an excuse.

I don’t think there’s one fan/alumni on this site that actively roots for IU to lose. Why be here? But we all can see clearly Woody is over his head and has fired a recently promoted assistant during the season to prove it. Let’s see him win a championship of any kind. As bad as Tommy Naismith was in 10 years, he at least won 2 Big regular season titles.

Our ball movement was good today; we had several 3 looks and Goode has to hit those. Our guard play much better; a returning starter I don’t believe got any smell. Carlyle is more athletic than I thought and with more experience can be really good. Ballo accepts his role as defender and rebounder mostly and that’s good to see. I think Hattie should be getting more minutes early as we may need him later in the Big. Nice game today.

If he wants a future, coaches don’t kiss and tell. But the optics of being let go at the start of the season looks really bad. Seemed like a quality guy.
