I’m in agreement all these waivers and Covid year really hurt younger kids get recruited and offers. Pitino said he wasn’t taking any freshmen next year because of these grown men still playing. -
I didn’t see it mentioned but the bad blood develop when Gordon switched commitments to us after verballing to Illinois. In those times college coaches had an unwritten rule of not recruiting committed players. And we know Sampson and rules; he did it out in the open and pulled EJ.

He’s got one more year of eligibility if you want a Jamarcus Ellis type of personality and player.

BYU is out wisconsing Wisconsin. Another observation is it’s fairly easy to see why we haven’t been this far in a long time. We usually don’t take care of the ball, take bad shots, and have horrible coaching first and foremost.

End of season. Still Creans players got in More trouble granted he coached here much longer than Sampson.

Coca Cola Roy brought his academic advisor with him to Chapel Hill from Kansas and implemented the African Studies program that were paper grades with one exam final handed to the players by tutors. NCAA uncovered it all and put them on probation and took away a couple visits. uNC fought it the whole way.

You had way more of a drug culture with Tom Crean with players smoking in their dorm room, getting hit by teammates in autos, and getting arrested. Most of Sampson’s players quit going to class after their coach got canned. I believe Armon Bassett was suspended a couple games but was done internally. Who else got arrested or kicked out drugs?

All these allegations and facts are all charges were dropped period end of story. 2nd year at Power 5 Ole Miss and he beats 2 top five team all the while making Ole Miss now a basketball school. His last post game presser he’s wearing a Knight quote on a T-shirt and vocally quotes him often. Hire this man today!

LFG let’s win this game and the whole damn tournament for the first time. This would be a great year to do it. The players should be motivated and I hope they play hard.
