He recruited these masons. I bet every college team in Indiana and most high schools have better shooters wide open like we continually miss.

Arch recruits 4 guards and none can shoot consistently. No excuses coach and sure doesn’t help with longevity.

TJD just hasn’t looked good making post moves for the last several games. Teams know he won’t pump fake and he’s just not finishing well at all. He acts tired so losing Brunk has really hurt him getting rest.

The man can coach and recruit also. He stole EriccGordon from Illanois and almost landed Derrick Rose the same year. He had two Jucos that played big minutes his first year and was still respectable. The failing grades and drug use gets a lot of attention but the kids quit after he was fired. In the big picture what he got caught and fired is now allowed behavior and compared to the Adidas federal probe; nothing but another day on the sleazy side of coaching D1 athletics.

At this point I’m willing to let our new AD make another hire. Get an Indiana guy period.

Archies recruited the worst shooting Indiana team I have ever seen other than the one from last year. Get ready for a long year getting beaten because we cannot shoot.

First time we get TJD the ball on the block and he scores.

I was a junior at IU in 87 and I’m 54. I would suggest getting interested in other more productive hobbies while you’re waiting. I’ve made excuses for Archie but his coaching isn’t up to par with his brother and he doesn’t cheat as well either. I was hoping the Knight curse ended last year, but we need another coach to lead us out of this decades long funk. Next coach up except let’s try an Indiana guy for once.

Archie waited too long on the timeout. We’ve been out of sync for awhile now well before being down. He’s just not a good in game coach.

The way we play this could happen and it will be Archie’s last. He just hasn’t recruited or coached well enough.

They backing us down every possession and look like men against boys. Either we need to double team them or play bigger. Sad to see but Archie recruited these kids and the Big 10 is only gonna get bigger.

Probably true but Hunter is our only shooter and Lander has more upside than both RP and certainly AJ. I would start them both.

I absolutely love how he plays hard, but he nor any of our other starting guards can make a 3 ever. This has been Archie’s recruiting weakness and will ultimately be his demise. There’s really no excuse for this glaring weakness.

Play Hunter and it gives us at least one decent shooter. We start 3 guards that can’t shoot and couldn’t last year. What makes Archie believe they will and how can he expect better results? It’s really painful to watch us suck at shooting.

Only one person to blame when you have 0 shooters on your team. Our kids play hard but not one can throw it in the ocean. That’s a sad fact when you coach at Indiana where there are better shooters at essentially every high school in the state. No excuses just terrible recruiting.

He will be back in SC coaching next season. He’s said/done some horrible things but everyone deserves a second chance. Just look at our own examples.

Calbert is my first choice. IU guy my second. Fife, Moye miller is intriguing though and his son would come with him.

Knight took Brooks since he had Alford and Lewis became a better player. The Anderson sectionals were absolute magic with tickets getting scalped at a 10,000 seat gym. Held should have one a couple state championships. I never heard of the dislike between Held and Knight though other than Knight signed Madison Heights players. IU player Winston Morgan was on Stew’s high school team along with IL St sharp shooter Brad Duncan.

My guess is UA has some serious financial difficulties.

Agree on everything and would add that our bagmen need to pay better. Look no further than the SEC to see who is landing these top recruits. The pay rates are only going to go up as the NCAA loses more power.
