  1. You don't attack the fans, period. Why is that so hard for people to understand?
  2. Actually I would have quipped “that’s exactly how I drew it up.” If you heard Bruce Weber a little later talking about it. He was like, “we draw all this stuff up and it never works.” Players got to play.
  3. Maybe next year he’ll start game 1.
  4. The difference is Ware. They pulled him off the block. We are not hearing him and Malik talking about “buddy ball” anymore. It’s much more open now and Ware has that little fade away working. The first two PSU games they over performed on their threes, something like 40%. This game they underperformed, less than 30%. Season average was mid 30s.
  5. While I’m all for the win maybe we should do as told and chill a little bit. We won by 2 on a last second tip in. Penn State missed how many layups? Couldn’t buy one in the first half. Also underperformed on their threes. Tired legs having played the night before? Buzzsaw may be in our future.
  6. Mike Woodson doesn’t make halftime adjustments. Halftime adjusts to Mike Woodson.
  7. Chicago basketball isn’t what it used to be. DePaul has a few things going for it with a new arena close to campus, not way out in the burbs. They really need to hit the suburban schools and try to build a team — kind of northwestern recruiting targets. Need to have more of a system coach who can make the team better than the individuals.
  8. Minnesotians getting the last of their ice fishing in.
  9. So there is still a chance. :)
  10. I agree. He wins -- Google him. Get your bowling shoes ready.
  11. It's not making the tournament in and of itself that is defined as success. It's the first step to success. If you come here saying you're competing for championships -- well you have to get in it to win it. So my expectations are pretty clear. Depending on how bad it is when you start, first, get the program on a solid footing where your recruiting well in the state and region. Then expand nationally to the big dogs. Make the tournament every year. Some years your out the first day. Others you make the Sweet 16 or better. But you have to make it. And as you improve your program, the more often the Sweet 16 runs should be. Then take that next step to the Elite 8 and after that I think "luck" play a big part. This alone should put you in the Big10 picture. Where Crean failed was being consistent enough to make the tournament every year. Had he been more consistent, he would have had more chances to the sweeet 16 and beyond.
  12. Well it was clearly Ben Franklin was our best recruiter.
  13. He should be. He or Pam Whitten should have put out a release saying Woodson was reprimanded for that as we love all fans.
  14. By failing to adjust HIS defense. PSU was on fire from 3. A simple adjustment of staying on certain shooters rather than helping changes that. Without all of those threes maybe IU wins as everything else was pretty even.
  15. Where did I say it was? And of course there are bad corporations. But look at the “good” ones.
  16. She was defending. I’m not going to go back and quote all the posts.
  17. As I said, enough bad decisions and they gone. Never said they would be poor.
  18. The way I read it Dolson has the “power” as long as he does what they say. If he was to independently fire Woodson he’d lose his job. It’s very authoritarian.
  19. Do the opposite of what QB thinks and you'll look like a genius.
  20. Well if you're not first, you're last. :) None of them are any good.
  21. Yep. It irritates me to no end. As the coach of IU basketball you're more than the coach of the team. You're really the face of IU athletics.
  22. I'd rather listen to Cig anyway. He sounds like he gets it.
  23. Exactly. And as far as language goes, if they didn't indicate a 6-4 type of breakdown, they would say "unanimous" or "majority" vote.
  24. Kind of how I feel watching games.
