Just a reminder fellas, we are still waiting for: a) the list of “lots” of programs that have been successful after 5+ transfers in a year b) the source for Galloway is good with coming off the bench.

I'll drop this here, because I think we talked about replacement earlier. Heard Bruce Pearl on the radio today. Political show -- but they sandwiched some basketball around it. Seems like a good guy. Articulate while being a "man of the people" so to speak. Interesting info on transfer portal and NIL and the need for some control and rules. Sounds like he's looking to smoke the people in the tourney.

Does this mystery player (not Julian) shoot like Walker. :) I have been on the record "defending" the open scholarship saying "who would we have gotten that would have made a difference." My basic premise was that the Power5 level guards turned us down. Didn't think we needed another Middle School Bob situation. I really don't think having a "mid level" player just to fill a scholarship is worth it. If he was a specialist coming off the bench -- shut down defender, 3 point ace -- then I could see it. I am also heavily relying on staff to be able to evaluate the current roster and their improvement -- lesson learned. That the open spot made a difference shows how flawed the roster really was.

I would rather see ISU than MSU.

IDK, That sounds like we won the BTT. I'll say Saturday if we lose to PSU/Michigan or Nebraska. :)

So these agents are going to be telling their players: "Hey stud, you should go play in the Ultra Modern Throwback Woodson Inside Out, Feed the Post, I'm not Responsible for Getting Players Shots, We Shoot Enough 3s, Offense." We going to load up in the portal fellas. Gonna be awesome. Get that banner ready.

Curious. I have looked. But what is the source for Trey being willing to give up his starting spot?

Nah. We know what's best. A better Administration, a better coach and a better program. You can study successful people, successful coaches and successful programs and determine their distinguishing characteristics. Then just copy them. You're right. Nobody can know the future. And we don't "know" Dusty May from Dusty Springfield. But, we can sit down with him, ask him a few questions, get his thoughts on successful programs, wining, etc. Add in his recent success. And then, if we know the criteria outlined above, we can make a pretty educated determination whether he's "the guy" or not.

Whatever. If those are the portal "rules," and that is going to be your sandbox, then you play by those "rules." That's his mess.

Ok. Maybe it wasn’t the “first” thing they did. But clearly they got the talking points out.

And that right there is why Woodson is not a good coach. Either you guarantee a starting spot to the best five players (not my approach) or every spot is open and subject to performance (that’s me). What you don’t do, if you guarantee spots, is guarantee a spot to a less talented player at the expense of the more talented player.
