  1. It's Wed. It is Little 500 weekend. :)
  2. Just skimmed the last few pages of this thread. Some of you are certifiably insane. Look it is pretty simple. Next year we'll be at a min. top half of Big10. That, based on history, should get us in the tournament. I would expect we'll be better than those minimums. One thing is for sure, we'll never be out of a game. We could erase a 20 point deficit in a single minute with the shooting on this team. :)
  3. Iceland, Finland. It's all the same. :)
  4. Guys, it's not the talent at an individual level. It's how that talent works as a team. It's multiplication. We learned that lesson last year.
  5. As Cig would say: Production over potential.
  6. Sorry, I couldn't even get thru the IDS article. Dude decommits and expects the new coach to contact him? Crazy world we live in.
  7. Now that would be a epic troll. :)
  8. Doesn't he know he committed? We have the picture on the interweb. :)
  9. If I had a dollar for every jersey my kid wanted for a player/team he doesn't even care about today, I'd be able to retire. :)
  10. So what are we going to do with all those Debbie Downers that where jumping out the windows?
  11. Yeah, but many schools struggle to fill the seats. Programs like IU, Kentucky, Duke, etc. are different that way due to their history.
  12. Except next year he doesn't do chit for them. He's gone. So who is going to be next year's "attraction?" And Cooper Flagg is somewhat of an anomaly --- not everyone has a top 5 draft pick playing for them.
  13. I think as this goes on we are going to see this start to fade. That regional tribalism you speak of also included "our guys." You know, student athletes that came in as freshman and developed over 3-4 years. I mean what are those IU teams without the Alfords, Cheaneys, and Oladipos. Massive roster turnover each year looses that aspect of fandom.
  14. Why is Kentucky going to win a "title?" They where bounced in the sweet 16. Looks like they lost a bunch of guys to "graduation" and have a handful of new guys coming in. Granted they may be a step ahead of IU right now, but title contenders? They'll have to prove it to me.
  15. Sure glad we didn’t get Pearl. He’s so bad can’t even get the kid to visit. What a swing and miss. :)
  16. I'll go on my daily plea to CDD. PLEASE SIGN SOMEONE, ANYONE. We're freaking arguing about Peter Jurkin/Hanner for crying out loud. :)
  17. Sure, but do we really need "big dogs" to have a better season than the past two. I'll give CDD the benefit of doubt and believe he can coach up a bunch of lunch bucket guys to be competitive enough to make the tourney. We may look more like Purdon't than Duke, that's all.
  18. Well it’s late night. Has Wilkerson committed to Kentucky yet? Maybe they swung and missed. :)
  19. This is very far from professional sports. Even the pros have salary caps, rookie schedules, and multi year contracts.
  20. Hate to break it to some of you, but I think CDD has more Dane Fife in him than he does Mike Woodson. Woodson threw money out there and we know how that ended. I think CDD accepts the money aspect of it, but is more interested in fit and putting together a team of players. I don’t see him just paying guys to pay guys. And guy emphasizing the money may be one of his red flags. It is what it is at this point and all we can do is see how it all works out the next few weeks. I remain cautiously optimistic
  21. Rick Pitino enters the chat. :)
  22. Darian, please for the love of god sign someone, anyone. If I have to read anymore about the livability of Conn towns I am going to become a Purdon’t fan. :)
  23. Yeah I was too busy reminiscing about Mike Woodson and Hurely to catch that. :)
  24. Apparently he knows how to write checks. :)
