Now we’re talking. :) -
Probably just nickname him "Racer X." How many will get the Speed Racer reference? :)
-
Woody should just make X mow his lawn this summer and leave it at that. May as well get something good out of all this. :)
-
If he was going at a hight rate of speed where that stop sign was, there would be a lot of damage to parked cars. Not much room for a "high rate of speed." He blew of the stop sign in a parking lot. Newsflash, I do that too because I can.

Exactly. Maybe a few homeless dudes walking around. And there are no "pedestrians" in that area. It's relatively desolate, minimal sidewalks, and construction. I walked it to the Hampton Inn late at night. It was actually kinda scary how alone it is.
-
That's how I understand it. It's a valuation, not an estimate of earnings. Although they would be related.
-
Guess you haven't spent much time in a cop car. :)
-
If you look at a map that little road is actually labeled old state road 37.
-
Dashboard radars will show the speed of oncoming traffic.
-
I have zero clue. But once you get north of 17th street it's pretty barren. Could easily hit 90 in Charger there. Plus there are apartments back behind the Hampton Inn.

Yeah. We don't really know what was said. And if true, maybe that was less dimplomatic than he should have been. I'll just say this as we are getting off topic. I had no clue TJD was making what he was making in NIL money (as reported on these boards). So it doesn't seem like he's over exposed and was focused on basketball and school. But watch, some of these dudes are going to be like the Kardashians in the future.

I would agree. There are downsides to the NIL. And my guess is coaches who are apparently "against" the NIL are really putting it in it's rightfull place as a consideration for a recruit. There are several factors to consider: 1) the education (for most this will end up important) 2) the program, how the player fits, the conference, competition, facilities, etc. 3) NIL opportunities. You don't want the players to put the NIL stuff first as it could become a distraction. I would rather have them working on their jump shots than working on NIL stuff. I submit that's what most "anti-NIL" coaches are thinking.

Happens to the best of us. :)

So a couple of days with no news. Is this a non event that will be handled internally? I would think if he’s gone it would have been done by now?
-
I'll tell you what. I am so glad the cop that broke up a HS party a few years ago when the kids where Jrs. basically made them call their parents and let them go home with them. Everyone could have had major ramifications regarding their extra curricular activities. As the cop said, "I was 18 once. Have a good night."

It’s probably Race himself getting a good laugh from our reaction. -
Better yet, make him wear a "Dunce Cap" around campus. And his teammates can wear the "I'm with Stupid" t-shirts.
-
Smart people, get smarter people to work for them. If I am a new guy, I am using these people's minds to the maximum extent possible.
-
Time out. I don't want to convict him. I am more of the not a BFD camp. Just incredibly stupid and makes me question IU's academic standards. :)
-
If the other car story is true, then why not pull over when the cop lights up? Sounds like embellishment to me.
-
Yeah. According to the article, Parker just refused to tell who was driving.
-
Same question as many others. If Mata can coach, why isn't he IU coach? This makes very little sense.
-
Down wind, Downhill or both? :)
-
X has got to be the stupidest human alive. He takes a speeding ticket (do they arrest you in Indiana for x mph over?) and turns into to resisting arrest and a night in jail with his shenanigans. I am on record taking shots at his "leadership" but don't necessarily think this is a dismissable offense. A lot would depend on the context. On the positive side, it doesn't appear alcohol/drugs where involved. On the negative, this isn't his first rodeo. I guess we'll see.

They didn’t play. :). But they are all college lifers. We all know coach K has his succession plan in place. The others have long term assistants who probably are in the same situation.
