Got a text late last night -- "Entire team at Kilroys." Me thinks it was one last hurrah for the boys. Changes comming.

I doubt it. Didn't mom tweet a bunch of crap about Miller? There's not one adult who did the poor kid more wrong than A Miller.

I don't care what Fife did. He's gone. I care what Woody does. And this "rule" is a red flag for me.

Well from all accounts he wasn't listening to Matta either. Matta's behind the scences and does anyone even know what effect he has on the program? Not that I know of. And as you said, since we all knew it was comming, Lander is not news, nor is it a distraction.

No question. There is an art to it. But requiring kids to get on Campus might be a bit much. As a preference, sure. But as a requirement, you're just asking for issues. It's a "rule" that sets you up to fail. And if it's in state kids we are talking about, no reason the head coach can't motor on up for a visit -- that will tell you the level of interest.

So here's the thing. Nobody cares about the assistant coaches. As has been said, they come and they go. It's not that one is leaving. It's more the how, than the why. The whole point with the woodson hire was to build a bridge back to Knight era -- which had all been destroyed by previous administrations with an anti-Knight agenda (rightly or wrongly, doesn't matter). Then you have a former player, one of the last to play for Knight and the last to play for a Championship. He spent 10+ years working for a succeful program under a highly respected coach (so could he really be "that bad"). He leaves to go help rebuild his alma matter's program -- bold move right there Cotton. A year later, he's not just gone, but fired. There had to be a smoother way out of it. "Encourage" him to get a head coaching job and wish him well. Hell give him Thad Matta's job. Something to make it look less dumpter fire. Keep the dirty laundry inside the program. It's a distraction that the progam doesn't need right now. IMO.

Well I am guessing there may have been a miscommunication. I don't know. Never heard of the issue before. And sure, your staff needs to follow directions. But with that said, I do think it raises a potential issue with Woodson. 5 stars are getting offers left and right. Not sure getting on campus is required. You want them on campus to close the deal. I am not sure IU has the pull to required a campus visit first with the top recruits. IMHO.

See I don't like ultimatums like that. If the next "all world" recruit decides he'll only visit where he has offers, then what. Gotta stay flexible.

He was all in on Rob when he started. So if he did that, I agree.

That's the part that scares me about this move. Kid had a decade or more under Izzo and with a successful program and suddenly he's "not a fit." If that means he had different opinions and wasn't afraid to express them, we may be in a little bit of trouble. I hope he gets a head coaching job somewhere. Good luck to him.

Guys. TJD is gone. Stop hoping. Woody said in his press conference he was “ready” for the pros. Several web sites have him solidly in the second round. Race should move on as well. Go overseas. We can’t have these crazy years with extra eligibility mess up the younger class. We need JG, Bates etc to develop.

I don't think he transfers, but may decide it's time to head overseas and make a few bucks.

He needs to turn into that sharp shooter who comes off the bench and shoots you back into the game.

Poor kid is a victim of unfortunate circumstances. I agree. A fresh start may be ideal for him.
