No problem. I think it's a good defense when done right. I'm not sure we have to do it on every high ball screen, but I do agree it needs to be done to keep the other team honest. We just need to ensure we have proper rotation and the hedger does not loose his man completely. -

Yes, i realize it's a set and helpside rotation is needed. It was there in the 1st half and better in the later part of the 2nd. If they spread the floor, helpside rotation can be late and they where trying to cover it with the ballside hedge defender, which was not working. I agree 100 its a set and was done on purpose. -
LOL - I told one of my RI's that he was going too hard on us one day and it didn't go very well for me either....

I think Troy is starting to understand his position and responsibility. He still does some 'out of control stuff', but I think this has improved greatly over the last few weeks. TW is so dynamic on the baseline and his effort is improving on both the def end and with rebounding. TW is a key element for this team. I still want to see OG get more minutes ... -

Yep, I agree Max is better at recovering and he has a better feel for where his man is off the hedge. NW saw this and started spreading the court and isolating this action early in the 2nd. Our big guys can't loose their primary responsibility ..... With their sets in the first and our help side defense, we didn't get burned by this too much in the first. Our switching and overall defense is soooooo much better than it was earlier this season ,,,, -
Indiana v. Northwestern POSTGAME Thread

The only 'concern' I saw from today's game and the last few is we hedge (too much) with our big's on the high ball screen, which sometimes leads to easy pick and roll baskets. I did see a change from this later in the 2nd half, so I'm basically looking for stuff to complain about here. Great game and this team is becoming efficient and I'm thinking the sky is the limit for them. Ball movement is off the charts... OG needs more time on the floor.... -
It's sad to see how much or (not) support Penn State gets at a home game. Why would a top notch recruit want to play for them?

Last time Iowa started 6-0 was 86/87.

Indiana Hoosiers vs Illinois Game Thread

I'm starting to believe a bit with this team and it has more to do with the reactions on the sidelines. I know it's easy to get along when winning, but these guys seem to like each other. Yogi is taking this team and running with it. -

I didn't think Yogi forced too many shots today. I'll need to go back and watch again, but I thought most of his shots were good quality shots. -

I think his replacement was already at the scorers table to come in, but yeah that does seem to be a pattern with Coach Crean. IMO, his sub patterns have been better this year... It looks like Coach has gone away from switching from man2man to zone (or reverse) in the middle of a possession, so I'm just riding that sunshine right now. -
that's interesting... I wouldn't have thought they were leading in rebounding, but MSU is normally solid in that department. They're clearly missing an inside presence, but I'm guessing they will get it figured out. Iowa might just be that good ....
-
Yes some similarities, but we didn't have anyone close to Valentine and their Coach is an upgrade. But yes, they will have some of the same issues we had last year. The kid that originally committed to them and then went to PU would have made a big difference.

LOL - you have no idea what I accept. I was just making an observation.
