  1. LOL - I don't really care. I think Iowa is good and I think Jok is a good player. If that would have happen at IU, the media would have destroyed Crean. I'm not standing up for Crean ... just pointing out the hypocrisy of it all. It was not once, but twice "LOL".
  2. Iowa is good. Doesn't Jok have like 2 or 3 DUI's. I guess at IU he would be gone and the coach would be chastised for running a program "out of control".
  3. I think loyalty is one of his good qualities. I'm afraid he's too stubborn to allow that quality to come through at this point. To be honest, I wish he would just come home and put this crap to bed, but I'm not sure that happens. If it ever happens, I'm guessing it will be like Mellencamp playing at the 'Bluebird'. (It will just happen... maybe, he will ride up on a Harley ....)
  4. AMEN ... If they play to their potential, I'm not sure we're going to care how they started, but yes the start is what scares me.
  5. I'm watching some of the ranked teams and I don't see (1) that IU can't beat when playing good basketball. If we play up to our potential, we can play with anyone in the country. A lot of years, I've thought this team or that team would have to play bad for IU to win. Not this year, I think IU holds it's destiny. If IU plays their A-game, we can beat anyone.
  6. Best Half of basketball in the Crean era. The turn around on the DEF side is the difference. Keep it up boys.
  7. Watching the Michigan vs Purdue game with my 10 year old daughter. Purdue makes a basket and she asks me "what is a boilermaker" My response (don't judge me) - a Jackass -- her response - so their mascot is a donkey ..... all i could think of was when Coach Knight brought in the donkey for his tv show... and my response was "yes".
  8.   You might be right and his spot is off the bench. I don't think he cares. It would be interesting to see how TW would respond coming off the bench...? He has so much talent; he just needs to play more for the end result and the team and TROY might be off the charts.
  9. If you're going on how they're playing when picking your starting line up, you have to pick OG.   He plays within the offense He plays good defense He makes very few mistakes He does not try to make ESPN top 10 every night.   He's a team player and he needs to see major minutes.
  10. Why would you play zone vs this team on the last possession of the half. Let Crews coach the 2nd half ...
  11. Team in progress basically sums it up. This team could catch fire down the road; they have the talent to be top 10. I hope they start playing with a chip on their shoulder and man up. If they take "US vs the world" mentality, they could be lights out.
  12. Bring back Dr. Tom ...
  13. Wow. Iowa might beat 1 and 14 in one week.
  14. Iowa playing great. How good is Iowa?
  15. Wow ... Nice run from Iowa.
  16. Iowa is a good team. Let's see how well Purdue responds to a punch in the face... Purdue build is interesting in a guard dominate CBB world.
  17. Purdue DeF is sick.
  18. I would start OG at the 3/4 and bench Troy. He makes less mistakes and plays better defense.
  19. Purdue is one of the best 4 teams in the nation.
  20. yep - they should be used to determine how active your team is on the ball line and should not be used in pressers.
  21. Deflections are actually a very important stat. The problem is the team allows too much dribble penetration without proper helpside. I would say that was actually better today. I would not highlight deflections when the overall defensive product stinks, but it's important all the same.
  22. Coach Crean record at this point is not why I want him gone. I respect coach. I just don't like the product on the court. I don't like bad fundamental basketball. What Coach says or doesn't say at his post game presser is not the issue. He's trying to save his job and I hate to watch it, but I want a change. I would prefer to do it without bashing the guy who came here when a lot of coaches ran the other way.
  23. I would change this thread topic to "How do we get Brad Stevens to IU?" His coming to IU might be as big as Coach Knight in the early 70's. He's the answer, so the administration needs to do everything possible to make it happen. Stevens to IU would make other teams really nervous. ......   I don't know if it's possible, but I hope everything is being done to try and make it happen.   I like Tom Crean, but Coach Stevens is the answer to bringing back IU. Period.
  24. I'm tired of watching IU. I'm tired of watching teams like NC, Syracuse, Louisville and UK doing well when I know they're doing it the wrong way.
